Not that I know of, though I'm not seeing that issue myself. It just takes them a brief (less than a second) moment to load.

When I scroll down for all the options like capes and helmets many of them appear black so I can't see the preview and have to click on them to equip them and see. Is there a way to fix this?

I also hopped on here to ask if there was a way to prevent the randomly generated AI factions from using these. I stopped using this mod awhile back because I hated every NPC I run across looking like a character from Oblivion after someone hit "random" on all the sliders in CC but I found myself missing again the freedom to make my faction leader look the way he used to.

Is there a way to make sure the AI does not use these options? So I could still use them to make rulers and heroes but they would not be included in the automatic generation of characters?

Thanks so much for looking into it and fixing it. Since its an issue that shows up only on modded games I doubt it would've ever gotten an official fix

Ok, so it looks they've actually added the option on a per-character basis to disable filling empty slots with random equipment. So I've toggled that off for her and uploaded that as a fix. Assuming everything works as intended, you should see her helmet-less unless/until you unlock that halo in the Pantheon.

No worries, I appreciate the level of detail.

So, I confirmed before my initial response that she had the same blue halo with the mod disabled, and that it was what she was supposed to have according to the game files. However, you're correct that it's a pantheon unlock.

My theory is that this actually partially a vanilla bug, caused by them overlooking the issue of her not having the crown if it's not unlocked yet, and that the mod interaction is at most what's causing her to have other stuff instead.

That said, I'll see if there's something I can do about it to make the crown accessible to her even if it isn't unlocked, without making it available to the player.

I've gone back to check with only this mod active, she definitely has a headgear on. Its a different headgear depending on what other mods I may have running.

-With no mods running, she has her brown hair, no headgear/helmet/nothing visible, just hair
-With my other mods activated WITHOUT this mod, she still has her normal vanilla look
-With my other mods activated WITH this mod, she has some golden helmet on that leaves her bald.
-With nothing enabled except this mod, she gets some brown hood on.

In your screenshot she has some blue halo on, she does not have that in my game(I've also done a google/youtube search and the first vid i came across had no headgear, so i'd assume mine is the default look). my (uneducated) guess is that the blue halo is some pantheon(or modded) item that I have yet to unlock and with the item not being unlocked in my game, she gets assigned something random based on available head gear

You may have a mod conflict. Try moving this mod to the bottom of your load order.

Yes, they're not supposed to change, but I don't go out of my way to memorize or screenshot what they're supposed to look like so I can't check. Please report any time you see that happening. Will take a look at that one now.

is there a way to not change the default outfit of some pre-defined un-editable rulers? Petras Celena gets a goofy ahh helmet and is bald underneath

One thing I noticed is that when I go to edit a faction that I've already saved, if I have a leader who is a different race than the faction, it rolls the leader back to the race of the faction and I have to remake it. It does allow me to save it though and keeps the changes, even if it isn't a different race. I wonder why that wouldn't be the same thing with the heroes.

After looking into a bit more, I'm pretty certain it's a code issue, and not something I can touch with the mod tools. Thanks for the response. Disregard the invisible items, they reloaded after I backed out.

As for the hero library physical forum not saving, I REALLY hope you can fix that one. I have several factions created that I wanted to mix in a few, specifically designed heroes from other races and it's a bummer they won't save.

I'm not seeing any obvious issues of stuff being invisible. Can you explain what I'm looking for in that last screenshot? As for the first one, I believe that's a vanilla bug that is now fixed. Please confirm that you don't have either of the old DLC patches for this mod still installed, and try moving this to the bottom of your load order. Then let me know if you're still seeing issues

This is going to take some digging, and I can't promise any results. But I will definitely be looking into it and fixing it if I can.

re: Metal Accent UI element not appearing for non-Architects
This is fixed in the update I've just pushed. This does have the downside of the Metal Accent option appearing even if there's nothing equipped that it will actually affect.

re: Elysians not having access to High Helmets
I've also fixed this in the same push. Stuff like that is a big pain to check for, but simple to fix, so please keep reporting any issues of races not having access to things they should as you come across them!

After you're back - Is there any chance for the Heroes not saving the form change? It seems that the issue only occur with the new Hero Customization option for Extra Faction Data.

Hello! I've noticed that you can edit the form of heroes that you add to a faction, but if you save those heroes and then return to them, they all revert to the base form for the faction.

I don't know if this is just me, but a lot of the options come up black when selecting them. As in, the little square preview window is pure black, doesn't show anything. It almost seems as though only the first X previews actually get loaded, or something?

One thing to note, the AP clothing and the Architect culture units come with an additional colour slot called "Weapon Color" that changes the accents. It's not available with the mod and - at least for me - the accents are all a bright turquoise.

Something to look into once you get back so I hope you have a very relaxing (and well-deserved) vacation!

I messed around with that when I was first creating the mod, but I couldn't get it working within a reasonable timeframe. I'm sure it's possible, but not without more work than I was willing to put in for something that gets dropped shortly into the game.

In the beta, when you make your own heroes, they inherit the ability to cosmetically be another form. I just want to say I love this and please don't change it.

Great mod. Is there a way to limit the AI from making really bonkers randomly generated characters? I'd like the cultural attire unlocked for me to tinker with, but not necessarily the AI.

After the last update a number of helmets, capes and outfits are just not available anymore. I don't have a photographic memory but I can't find any of the Corinthian/Roman helmets anymore or some of the scarf-like capes or certain cape variants without shoulder guards.

I don't know about that, I'm using both and not having any issues as of yet.
