@Fatetaker Depends what you mean by compatible, I doubt either will break if you install both but it won't negate the effects of the storms, I still haven't gotten around to making it interact with vanilla dynamic space weather yet, it just negates the effects of stars and nebulae.

@Goot tested and I'm not seeing any issues, it's probably a different mod, you could try opening up the command console and putting in [debugtooltip] (minus the brackets). Then you can mouse over the event and it should show you an event ID, good modders tend to tag their mod IDs with things like the mod name or initials to make them unique and easily identifiable, so it might help narrow down whatevers causing the issue

Space storms now only occur if you have the cosmic storms DLC and they're new kinds with different modifiers, if the classic space storm happened it's either through a mod or its a bug.

Couldn't help but notice that you've removed the vanilla space storm stuff in one of the changelogs, because they're no longer a thing? The issue is, I've seen one occur. Once, mind you, but it definitely did.

Thanks to a few things I learned while recently updating my Space Elevators mod, I have reworked the Stormbreaker Lighthouse to mitigate dynamic space weather such as space storms, zroni storms spawned by the zroni stormcaster and the effects of VLUUR.

@Taelim interesting, good to know, I'm not hugely familiar with this part of the code myself and this was very much a first attempt but it might be informative to see what someone more experienced has come up with.

By the way, you may wish to know that Ancient Cache of Technologies has code that you could potentially use as a reference for future updates. In particular, look at the code for the reactors, thrusters, and FTL drives added by the mod, as they have a similar effect of canceling out the effects of both static and dynamic space weather.

If you want it to cancel out the zroni stormcaster effect then just manually change it yourself! its certainly fun!

Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about blocking space storms. Personally, I'd just say that the interference is too much for the systems to compensate for and be done with it. Feels weird to block their effects, honestly

okay. I was just thinking that you might end up overwriting vanilla files, and that would be a way to do it without overwriting files.

@CTH2004 No, thankyou, that is a crude an inelegant solution and I am fairly confident I can get it to turn on and off via event code, but event code isn't my forte so I will need to learn more before being able to implement it.

Here's an idea. If you want it to counteract the dynamic ones (which, as that is more powerful, maybe a more advanced tech, either an upgraded version (A 2.0 if you will), or a technology that just improves it)

So, anyways, to do it, you could instead just detect the event, and apply a benificial effect equal in power. So, "-20%", instead of negating that effect, just do a "+20%" as well!

@FrozenParagon I got the idea from the zroni stormcasters the developers added in 3.7, I figured if you could add a space storm via a starbase building maybe you could dispel one the same way.
