The mod is actually called the witchplate armor from my last comment
Nameless Jun 27, 2019 @ 2:05pm
Does this mod work with armor mods Ex: the witchcraft armor mod?
GreatSilentOne  [author] Feb 6, 2018 @ 1:41pm
Correct
MothInACast Feb 6, 2018 @ 1:00pm
so just making sure here this is for vanilla skyrim right? no dlc's or other mods required?
freak Jul 19, 2017 @ 8:31pm
thanks man. I didn't notice that. The hood that I was wearing didn't work haha but I changed to another and now it ran. Thumbs up
GreatSilentOne  [author] Jul 19, 2017 @ 8:41am
You don't need to type anything anywhere. I left that as a description for other mod authors who might want to know how it's implemented in the event they wish to make a patch. It's completely irrelevant in-game and has absolutely nothing to do with the console.
freak Jul 18, 2017 @ 9:31pm
I've tried to copy and paste but skyrim's console doesn't allow it
freak Jul 18, 2017 @ 9:30pm
Im having some troubles while typing the keyword, how do I get to type ' on the console ? because its the same button that displays and closes the console.

thnx
GreatSilentOne  [author] Jun 24, 2017 @ 5:50am
It does, you probably just have something else modifying them as well. This will need to be at the bottom of the load order, if that's the case.
404 Jun 24, 2017 @ 5:09am
Your mod is great but it dosnt work for mage hoods

Mr. Computer Mc.Technology Man May 7, 2017 @ 9:32am
Alright, that's fair! I can understand that, I never was good at any sort of this. :p Right now I'm trying to figure out SFM, and that's driving me up a wall just figuring out how get two different poses. This type of coding is way beyond me, I'm just impressed people get anything done with it
at all.
GreatSilentOne  [author] May 5, 2017 @ 1:59pm
A little bit more difficult to implement than to state, especially when taking mod compatibility into account. I'd like to set something like that up, but it's simply not feasible. Even if it were, I'm not altogether certain I have the time.
Mr. Computer Mc.Technology Man May 5, 2017 @ 10:28am
You should add the option for hoods to just decrease sun damage instead of removing it altogether.
Just a hood shouldn't protect you completely from the sun, it's just too damn bright. Maybe there should be a leveling system, where the more of your skin is covered, the less sun damage you take? So like, robes will offer more protection than iron armor or something. I just don't want to 100% remove the most obvious downside to being a Vampire. :p
Spiritsquare Nov 23, 2016 @ 2:22pm
Thanks! :P
GreatSilentOne  [author] Nov 20, 2016 @ 5:46pm
They do. Put it at the bottom of your load order if it's not. This is something people have asked for time and time again, and I have confirmed time and time again. It works, I have tried it.
Spiritsquare Nov 20, 2016 @ 7:33am
Could you make the hoods from the Dark Brotherhood protect my vampire? It's the best armor I have that actually has a hood(and I want to represent the family). Other than that, great mod!
GreatSilentOne  [author] Nov 16, 2016 @ 10:30am
In that case, the incompatibility makes sense. A direct patch would have to be made, which you're more than welcome to do. That would entail creating a third plugin file with both mods as masters, and then adding the ClothingHood keyword to the hoods in Mythical Creations
thirstyfish Nov 15, 2016 @ 4:30pm
This mod was already below the mythical creations mod.

Mythical creations allows one to craft vanilla items that have Dragonbone/dragonscale/daedric stats (depending on what version of the mod(s) you have). Everything is based on vanilla items. I am fond of the nightingale armor set, and this mod did nothing for me in that regard.
GreatSilentOne  [author] Nov 14, 2016 @ 8:40pm
Well, I might be able to provide some advice on making it more compatible with a bit more information on what the mod does (a patch isn't entirely out of the question).

Putting Vampires in Hoods below incompatible mods should eliminate conflicts, though. If that doesn't work, I'd be very surprised.
thirstyfish Nov 14, 2016 @ 2:30pm
I found out for myself, answer is no.
GreatSilentOne  [author] Nov 13, 2016 @ 6:23pm
I have no idea why it wouldn't be.
thirstyfish Nov 12, 2016 @ 4:48pm
Is this compatable with the mythical creations mod series?
GreatSilentOne  [author] Sep 6, 2016 @ 5:21pm
Unfortunately, I made this mod to use static keywords manually added to certain hoods. I could try scripting it, but I'm not exactly sure how I would go about doing that. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be glad to hear them because I really want this to work as well as possible. Even though I'm pretty much done modding for the forseeable future, if anybody has a good enough idea, I'd take the time to implement it.
darksoul50115 Sep 6, 2016 @ 4:45pm
can it work with mods that let me craft better vampire the one i had in mind saif+d he basicly took the master theif hood and retextured it and took away its stats
GreatSilentOne  [author] May 30, 2016 @ 3:41pm
Check the page on the Nexus website, and you'll find the patches there. There's a link towards the top of the description.
Tailin Sero May 30, 2016 @ 3:26pm
can you make it compatible with the hoods/helmets added by Hothtrooper's mods, or is that just too much work?
GreatSilentOne  [author] May 30, 2016 @ 2:52pm
Yes.
Tailin Sero May 28, 2016 @ 6:29pm
does this mod cover Dark Brotherhood hoods?
Myers' Bladed Dildo May 1, 2016 @ 2:52pm
I fixed it actually, Thanks :D
GreatSilentOne  [author] May 1, 2016 @ 2:23pm
Read the description and I'm sure you'll be able to draw a conjecture as to why it doesn't work.
Myers' Bladed Dildo May 1, 2016 @ 1:27pm
So this doesnt work. I got a redgaurd hood and it did nothing. Explain...
GreatSilentOne  [author] Jan 27, 2016 @ 4:08pm
It's been too long, I don't recall. You could always try it and find out.
Muguay Jan 27, 2016 @ 3:31pm
Does this work with an orcish helmet
GreatSilentOne  [author] Nov 24, 2015 @ 7:16am
If you're referring to the Dragon Priest mask, Krosis, then yes, it should.
pojilaya obluda Nov 24, 2015 @ 5:11am
Does this work with the Crosis?
Dwarven Gandalf Sep 20, 2015 @ 2:57pm
Ok. Thanks. All my mods are acting up (started to after I commented), but when I get them working, I'll try that. Thanks again.
GreatSilentOne  [author] Sep 20, 2015 @ 2:14pm
Well, after attempting to test it for myself and experience a completely different, erroneous error, I have absolutely no idea what's wrong.

In all honesty, I'd be lying if I said I was planning on updating this, or any of my other mods, in the near future. As of right now, I have neither the desire nor the ability to continue working on them, the latter of which is the primary reason for the former. I'm sorry I can't help you get this into a working state. All I know is that it has worked before and that I haven't touched it since then.

My only suggestion would be to play around with your load order. That often has a lot to do with errors such as what you're describing. Try it with the mod at the top, the bottom, and somewhere in between. If that doesn't work, you'll probably end up using something like the vampire ring mod described below (I cringe at the very idea of suggesting something without even a semblance of lore-friendliness, but it really is the next-best option).
Dwarven Gandalf Sep 20, 2015 @ 11:54am
I'm using the Novice Hood and it doesn't work...
Dwarven Gandalf Sep 20, 2015 @ 11:48am
Actually, the mod doesn't work at all for me. I found out it was because of the Robes I was wearing (magika regen).
GreatSilentOne  [author] Sep 20, 2015 @ 11:40am
Well, that's... New...

I suppose that fits my goal of having it only apply a partial reduction, though not exactly in the way I intended. I can't say I know why it does that, as this is the first I've heard of it doing that.
Dwarven Gandalf Sep 20, 2015 @ 11:08am
It still reduces my Stats, but they regen...
pissnchips Sep 1, 2015 @ 3:43pm
the remove stage 4 vampirism thing conflicts with the vampires best friend so it doesnt work. any solutions?
pissnchips Sep 1, 2015 @ 3:33pm

pissnchips Sep 1, 2015 @ 3:33pm
nevermind
pissnchips Sep 1, 2015 @ 2:07pm
sry for all the questions :Z
pissnchips Sep 1, 2015 @ 2:06pm
whats the multiple rings cuztomized mod called?
pissnchips Sep 1, 2015 @ 2:04pm
so is Remove stage 4 Vampire Hostility a mod or is it part of the ring mod?
pissnchips Sep 1, 2015 @ 2:03pm
thx bro!!!!!! :)
Bromora Sep 1, 2015 @ 12:09pm
Remove Stage 4 Vampire Hostility does as it says.
and then multiple rings customized increases the amount to three, if you have MCM you can have as many as you choose (I think)
as for the feeding issue, I would either just get my sneak up or use vampire seduction of a awake person, then you can feed on them. (just don't feed if your detected by someone else or they will TRY to kill you) if you have dawnguard then just find a vampire cattle, or spawn one with the console command by typing: help cattle, and then you will be given the command for one and just type: player.placeatme <console command>

hope this was helpful :)
