oh my God my mod finally works and all i had to do is upload it to workshop. when i tried to use it without uploading it did not work but it DOES work when its uploaded to workshop. ougughhh. ok sorry ill stop commenting now lmfao

i think the problem is that the remix menu fails to merge my modded sim files with rain worlds folder correctly. this is also the problem with your mod, it doesnt work when i turn it on in the remix menu. im very positive its a merging issue too because even when i turn off everything besides downpour and your mod it doesnt work. obv you cant help me with this since were both stuck at the same issue of folder merging lol but i still appreciate the answer, sucks that i cant get it to work as a workshop mod though..

oh yea thats fine! editing the dating sim is actually pretty simple, you just need the file paths to match for both text files and images. i used notepad to edit the text, and ibispaint to draw the character portraits. you might also just be missing something in your mod folder.

simply activate it like a regular mod and once you enter the dating sim it should take effect
