Is there any way to turn off the differences between the german dialects? As a German it is weird when Bavaria conquers Salzburg (Austria) and the province get renamed in "Soizbuag"
It is comparable with London. Some british dialects say something like "Landen", some say "Londen", but is is writton as London...

i think you can import greek names (and other) from "rosetta", its longly dead mod, but may be very useful

If you want to, you can repurpose any of the province naming I did for Beyond Typus. I also personally have an updated file with phoenician province names that hasn't appeared in a BT release yet, with academic citations on names for the interested. (got to adjust prov IDs in either case however since it's a different map)

Could you do city names as well? In the new world the cities just have the same name they did when they were owned by natives, not names that reflect the new names of the Provinces.

@TheMemos my bad, i had copied the list directly through notepad++ for a personal mod, and it seems the "xE9" occurences became just "E" without the ending ", corrupting both files in the process. My apologies.
Also one province in Ethiopia on the border of Somalia (namely 1207) has no name. just ""
This is all on the French province names.

All the provinces that end with capital "E" in the province_names file, lack the closing " (quotation marks), transforming them into "unreadable string".
this is in the French names.
