I don't want my Lambda Players to sound like Cry of Fear monsters while talking to each other.

for those who don't understand how the addon works, I'll tell you: some Lambda Player with some chance can approach the player and will either: A; will yell into the voice chat with random sounds that are loaded into the server. B; will say something if instead of voice lines there will be some path, and not randomengine.

noticed a crash when one lambda was about to respond to another. no clue if it was coincidental or not

in the voice chat options of the lambda players, replace "randomengine" with "lambdaplayers/vo/idle"

one time i went to a lambda, then when i said hello it started playing the postal 2 map select theme (because i have that addon installed). i then said "nice tunes" and we became friends (i had the friends module installed)

one thing about this addon is that the lambda players play random sounds from other installed addons, and the worst part is that they play the sounds from your installed addons. Just imagine this: you have the father nexbot installed and while you hear two players conversating together and you get close to them, one of them plays the rage or chase theme of father. That you currently s{woag} yourself and kill them instantly.

the reason they play random lines is because in the voice chat settings, conquestion and conrespond near the bottom are set to randomengine

to fix it, find the two in the voice chat settings, and change randomengine to lambdaplayers/vo/conquestion and lambdaplayers/vo/conrespond respectively. by default there's no default conversation sounds, so add your own to GarrysMod/sourceengine/sound/lambdaplayers/vo/conquestion and GarrysMod/sourceengine/sound/lambdaplayers/vo/conrespond (you will have to make these folders if they don't exist - you can get to the GarrysMod folder by right clicking Garry's Mod in your steam library, then hover over Manage and click Browse local files). make sure your custom sounds are 44100hz, mono and either a 192kbps constant mp3 files, or 16-bit wav files

Why the hell do they use audio from my slew of sanic nextbots in their conversations

i fucking love this addon they literally just play random sound effects not even speaking bruv

just open the map you want and put either an NPC spawn point or find a mod to spawn NPCs and just white flag lambda NPC's
