Haha, no. I"m too poor for that, as I'm an American with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ medical insurance and my daughter just had surgery. I was just responding to this: "The thing I'm most proud of is (hopefully) reducing the AI's tendency to pair age-inappropriate lovers." It sounded like you were putting additional marriage modifiers into the code on top of the ones that already exist. I know they exist already, but it doesn't seem to stop the AI from marrying young men to old women, and old men to really young girls. It's....♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gross and although it was done to a certain extent, it seems to happen way more often in the game than it did in real life.

Frankly your mod does too much for me to be able to download it. It will likely conflict with multiple mods already.

@child_of_air, I haven’t actually touched marriage in this mod; since marriages are political and not romantic, it deals only with seduction, where the participants actually have a choice. Although, that gives me a good idea to make them more likely to cheat if their spouse is twice their age. Age considerations *are* built into the marriage acceptance modifiers, though, so it shouldn’t be too hard to tweak them, if you want a mod that does that. Are you looking to commission me? I take Venmo and Paypal 😛

Ah, I thought the issue was that they take issue with becoming concubines. Misunderstood what you'd meant.
And the seduction stuff is *already* "not giving themselves to just anybody," that's why I'm confused by the choice.

@shautora, is it possible to make a mod with JUST the age appropriate lovers? How did you do it, by adjusting the marriage modifiers? I have been wanting to have a mod that cuts of perspective marriage partners by a 15 year age gap. I hate seeing young noble girls paired with Mr. Wrinkleballs! And I don't understand why young men are engaged to infertile women!

@thompse412: That’s the whole point: wives are of a *higher* social status than concubines, so why would you be OK becoming the lower status thing but not the higher status thing?

As for you second point, the thought process was that more desirable people can afford to be more selective and won’t give themselves to just *anybody*. But if you have an alternative way to represent that, please do let me know!

@child_of_air: the goal is to make it so that lovers are closer in age to each other, no more of this 16-year-olds hooking up with 70-year-olds business. And the younger you are, the closer they need to be. So if you see any lovers with super large age gaps, please let me know!

Concubines are of a very different social strata than another wife. So yeah, makes sense to not be cool with it. And why would you make it harder to seduce people just because they're attractive?

Can you explain more about "age-appropriate" lovers?
