they aren't all required, it's just that without them the mod sometimes corrupts. it happens with every mod. the only mod you need is resize mod (without it it always corrupts) and the HL:A mod. also, all of the mods i have listed are all QOL for the most part so you should have them regardless (they don't lag your game, only add QOL features)
