en el mismo vtfedit modificas los codigos del VMT para que indiques si el objeto brillara, reflejara o cosas asi.

si es asi, Para editar las imagenes uso Ps, despues la pongo en blender en image texture, cuando esta lista y veo que cuadra con el mod, la textura .png la cambio a .vtf en VTFedit, ya eso depende si sera con animacion o no, es mas tardado en la animacion porque hay algunas de 825 frames, pero en si es todo, para los modelos y texturas es blender, vtfedit, Ps, y para extraer los archivos y compilarlos es GCFscape y crowbar.

Thanks for the advice, I didn't know that, when I wanted to use the x16 texture it wouldn't let me go ahead with the export of the 825 frames, vtfedit said that it only supported 128x128 images and the next one was 256x256

You can use the original 16x texture just by checking the Point Sample flag in VTFedit and not generating any mipmaps, that'll turn off the smooth filtering and make it look better from far away
