Hi Luis.Thank you for this amazing track. How many max players(pit's)can we fit for an endurance event on this track?

Updated some textures that were making some trembling. The access to chronometer in qualifying and race is closed, only possible in pratice.

Superb job LuisB! I spend all my time driving the old cars/tracks, and this version suits those cars perfectly. I can't quite finish a race with the AI with any kind of weather- They tend to eventually crash and take me out at the tricky sections- at least at 100% AI setting. Fantastic Fun nonetheless!

Fantastic work LuisB. Looks and drives great!

Thanks to rF2driver for the chronometer counting in first lap.
LuisB  [author] Jan 30, 2023 @ 4:27am
v2.0 - - Updated the road in Breldschelde, delayed the road descend with a more sharp descend in Brunnchen (inserted a new bridge), a new road climb in Antoniusbuche (in the straight), a rumble in the last chicane area. New textures and materials for the bushes infield and outfield, a new collision. Updated the AIW. New set of rrbin files.
To start the chronometer counting in the first lap when leaving the pits continue straight close to the second garages until the end of the cement road passing right way og the small poles with the chain then the chronometer should start (please use it only in the first lap and the lap time will be slightly lower than a normal lap since the counting is starting later).

essracer no I don't I'm doing it as a hobby while it was what I have done from 2000 to 2017 professionally. I like to do it.

Hi LuisB, thanks and I fully understand that determining points where the straight rises up is not easy. The work you have done for this track is really fantastic, I really like the profiles of the corners you have made for this track, I really enjoy driving the corners here. Do you have an account where I can donate to show my thanks?
FabryTowers Jan 11, 2023 @ 2:37pm
Luis nice to hear that, I'l let you know if I find something else. Thanks again for your effort!
LuisB  [author] Jan 11, 2023 @ 4:49am
FabryTowers thanks for the points, tbh is the first time I see that video and it was one of the corners changed in the 70's, it's not a big problem to do. The bump is also easy. Will get into it when having time.
LuisB  [author] Jan 11, 2023 @ 4:47am
essracer I see what you mean it has 2 places where the track go up, from the talk of a driver doing it the straight is always climbing up, it means it raises with a higher percentage then goes up but in a small percentage then raises again in a higher percentage than the first and then reduces the percentage again till the corner. The bigger problem is to determine where these points are in the straight since all pics I've seen are from the bridge position pointing to the straight, I could make it approximately but not sure if they'll become accurate. When I have time I'll try it.
essracer Jan 11, 2023 @ 2:28am
LuisB, regarding the long straight, I understand its name is "The Dottinger Hohe"

If you type"The Dottinger Hohe" in google images you will see old photos showing the straight goes up and down over hills with hedges on both sides.

Have a look at this photo which was taken from the top of the bridge at the end of "The Dottinger Hohe" straight https://www.carthrottle.com/post/nzzkol8/

And this one

And this one

The up and down was later removed for safety and now it is more flat.

Many thanks :)

@LuisB To be more precise at 1.36 in the video you can see the road turn slightly left before the doble left corner on the bridge (Ex Muhle exit). Then before the little karussel from 3.05 on in the video there is a bump at the top of the left hander corner where the car jumps slightly... The other parts of the track seem pretty close to what we can see from footage videos and so on.
FabryTowers Jan 10, 2023 @ 1:23pm
Sure, watching the famous yt video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gsfz1UVK7jg you can see at the Ex Mhule some small imperfection, then some inclination in some part of the track. But overall it is good. I didn't know about the vegetation problem.
LuisB  [author] Jan 10, 2023 @ 4:29am
FabryTowers thanks for your comment but to be more constructive can you tell me what imperfections (I know there are some) but maybe we are not speaking of the same. About the vegetation it's hard to get it right, the shadow system makes it too dark (in the opposite sun direction) no matter what I change I can't get it to look natural. I even asked for help in the Studio 397 forum but none of the suggestion worked. If you don't mind please use this post to the imperfections

Great effort and a very good layout. I think there are a couple if small imperfections I hope you can correct in future releases. Also the vegetation around the track could be improved. I really enjoy the track however specially with eve cars and similar. Keep up the great work!
LuisB  [author] Jan 9, 2023 @ 4:37am
There's a hole in the left side of the road in the hill some corners in Wipperman area. I'll correct it later.
LuisB  [author] Jan 7, 2023 @ 5:23am
essracer it goes up and not going down that was an error in GPL maybe if you see some videos of that section you can agree that there's never a going down. It goes up and gets straight slightly climbing.
Paulo Viegas Jan 7, 2023 @ 4:47am
Great work Luis.
Obrigado.
essracer Jan 7, 2023 @ 1:51am
This track is amazing in period cars, many many thanks its fantastic joy to drive! Is the long straight before the last chicane correct its fairly flat - the road does not go up and down with the jump like in GPL?
reuschelle Jan 6, 2023 @ 6:34pm
This track is such a pleasure to drive in period correct cars, thank you.
John vd Geest Jan 6, 2023 @ 3:24am
Thanks. Good info,
LuisB  [author] Jan 5, 2023 @ 6:16am
You mean a conversion from GPL? no, it is scratch the versions I tried from Assetto Corsa (based in the GPL version) was too wrong in the layout a lot of corners that were out of the possible layout, I know the track until 1982 in Nordschleife had some differences (that I made) but logically the road was in the same position that is today. So I preferred do a version based mostly in the road today with the differences I detected and more bumpy which was one of the problems they have solved later in the 70's. There are some points I want to change but basically is in the scenery. And I used 2 or 3 buildings from the GPL track I hope they don't mind as well some textures from the Assetto Corsa version (I don't know who owns it).
John vd Geest Jan 5, 2023 @ 5:44am
Thanks for giving us this track.
Is it scratch-made, or a conversion?
herve Jan 5, 2023 @ 3:34am
Really happy to finally find the old Nurburgring. Good job! Then it would be nice to add a little 60s decors all around... Thank you very much

"Mak80_
P.S. I hope the light green bushes will be darkened a bit in the future"

The bushes are in my list but due to the track size they'll take a while to do. The present bushes are not good I felt it will be better not have it.
falconitage Jan 4, 2023 @ 2:44pm
realy realy fun ! thank you so much for that... rock'n roll !
Mak80_ Jan 4, 2023 @ 2:11pm
great track, thank you!

P.S. I hope the light green bushes will be darkened a bit in the future
