Quick question, does this replace vanilla species, in that if I am playing a game and a pre-existing species spawns, will it have its original non-anime picture or will the picture be automatically replaced with an anime one?

@Dragon Crisis Core, you probably have/had another mod that edits the 01_species_classes and/or 00_base_species_classes (file name might be slightly off, away from computer right now so I'm unable to double check at the moment) files. So you'll only be able to run my mod or that one, but not both at the same time properly. That's why mine worked when you put it at the bottom of the list, because that gave it the final change to the files. Mod priority order is that the last to load gets top priority. Unfortunately to keep my mod working the way it does with the species in the categories with the vanilla portraits and not in their own lists (Succubus excluded here) those vanilla files have to be moded making this incompatible with other mods that do the same thing. It should work just fine with other portrait mods that add in those new categories. I hope that helps explain what's going on for you.

Managed to get them to reload properly had to change the order and put portraits below everything else.

Not sure if there is a compatibility issue but many of the portraits are missing since the update all the machine portraits have vanished from the selection.

@Spider, I probably will here after a bit, have mid terms this week and flying out on vacation next week. But once im back ill probably have something worked in. I also have plans for using some of the fantasy anime pictures I've collected for some of the primitives as well, now that they are better utilized.

I love how you changed a few of the enclave species. Would you consider adding an anime-ified Minamar Specialized Industries from the new DLC, too?

@bbt104 I see, also for succubi, I managed to fix it by doing what Spider said but instead of asset_selector, I replaced it with attachment_selector (got the idea by analyzing another portrait mod) and the black mark bug stopped happening

It looks like you just dumped the machine portraits into the machine category. There's just a bunch of single portrait sets in the category instead of a single set that rolls through the portraits like the others have.

@Harpy The black mark over the succubus portraits is a bug that i haven't been able to find and fix. i tried what Spider below you suggested and it didn't fix it either, however if you click onto another portrait set it and then go back it removes it.

@Justabird Honestly im not sure what all shows/game the machines are from, I do know that some are Yugioh, theres 1 or two from MegaMan, and some are from Symphogear.

IF's face covers the portrates when playing the game, at least for the succubi. Is this a bug or a feature?

You need to change "hair_selector" in gfx/portraits/portraits/succubi_portraits to "asset_selector." This mod is using the old format, not the current one.

This is great, only thing is that too many portraits are under the machine type and force me to play as machine empires

@Rahl81, I saw that I forgot to add in the localization file, so it's in the update now, as for the %seq% I think that original mod was missing the files for it, so I just added my own names to it to replace the missing ones, as time goes on I'll increase the size of the fleet names available.

for the name that appears "name_list_SUC1" I solved it by creating a localized file like this:

@Rahl81 , fixed/ added in some of the missing names from the name-list, as far as the black mark on the succubus portrait, i can't find it to remove/ fix, however if you click on a different species category it removes the black mark from the portrait, Don't know why that matters to fix it, but it does
