is there anyway to use this mod with imperium universalis as big empires keep gaining manpower and its imposible to deplate them. 40 50k armies walks whole asia and lose nothing so this mod is perfect for the play. but cant make it work at all..

@Every Villain Is Lemons perhaps AI sucks at using mana so it instantly uses dip points to get rid of exhaustion?

I've been tag switching into AI nations that I know have been brutalized by war and their war exhaustion never reflects it yet I am constantly war exhausted but barely losing any men. Are we sure this is working properly with the AI as well?

Just an observation, what is happening is that if I play as muscovy and have Brutal Attrition as my mod, I can no longer recruit Strelsky, which is a bit unfortunate because this mod would be super fun as Russia. Can we do an update?

Hi! You are lacking the local_has_musketeers = yes and local_has_streltsy = yes in the static_modifiers file. It means that no one can hire strelsys or musketeers (even if they should). The fix is quite easy, just take those 2 lines from the official static_modifiers folder. They should go into land_province bracket.

Fix releasing soon, found the problem (forgot to remove a single letter from defines)

I've also heard Russian ideas are somewhat buggy but I can't find any problem on the surface. I'll look into that in a few days or so

You can override individual defines instead of overwriting the entire file by doing
NDefines.NMilitary.SIEGE_ATTRITION = 3
NDefines.NMilitary.SIEGE_DISEASE_IMPACT = 0.075
In a separate .lua file in a defines folder in common

I always noticed a slight change in the supply limit of provinces during winter which I think could be made more painful having to hide your armies in urban centers even in your own territory during winter

I think Russian states should have that -5% Land Attrition bonus only in there own provinces during wars. Remember they suffered heavily even in WWII Finland from atrition.

I would recommend removing the AI babying modifier and reducing attrition in early game. Attrition in earlier eras should be WORSE, not better, due to less-developed medicine to prevent disease outbreaks on hostile terrain. Likewise, PDX AI is stupid by default and nothing will fix that.

Otherwise, you are doing God's/Yaheweh's/Allah's/anyone else's work. Eu4 attrition should be as brutal as Eu3's.
