after many trials and errors, found out what was causing the "server is enforcing consistency for this file: models/infected/hulk.mdl" error message when playing online.

The .vmt files have the $selfillum glowing texture which will make the model glows in the dark, but the server will see this as cheating, which in turn, will kick your game when connecting online.

You can apply the fix by unpacking the .vpk file, go through every .vmt files in the "material" folder using VTFEdit and remove all the $selfillum lines.
