This worked perfectly for me. One caveat in my situation is that I do not have an autoexec.cfg file, so I copy-pasted my autoexec360.cfg file, renamed it to autoexec.cfg, and then typed in the values for the screen resolution. In my case, it's 3840 x 2160 since I am using a 4K monitor. Works just fine. Thanks again!

It's supposed to be like this. You'll see this error in a completely vanilla game, too, as well as a few more for Linux fonts if you are on Windows.

'marlett.ttf' is the default font used for icons.

ok you stopped while you never told us what to do with the vpk file that is now not in the addons folder and were not subscribed to the addon bc theres not a step telling us to subscribe so honestly im stuck

Yes, it is, although I did not include some specific changes that would benefit from an alternative installation (such as different DemoUI and DemoUI2 layouts to accomodate to the bigger fonts).

Basically any addon can be installed with the gameinfo method, the main difference is with the loading order, which prevents some resource files from being overwritten by the game files. But be aware that it's basically useless for multiplayer.

Is it possible to install this with the gameinfo method? matset method has some ui bugs and gameinfo doesnt.

Not to mention the mod conflicts with another UI mod.

If you are using default Windows Explorer, make sure you have extensions visible. Otherwise you're saving the file with duplicated extensions.

Well nothing works. Tried the instructions, changed that autoexex commands like 15 times and nothing.

You most likely failed the fifth step. Do it again, but this time make sure you're editing the right file and not saving it with duplicated extension.

Also note that I can guarantee its stability with English version only. Some parts may not work correctly for other languages.

The addon has been updated to v1.4.0.

This is the last major update that was planned out beforehand. And unless some flaws will be discovered, or small fonts that I have overlooked, there won't be no more updates.

Go through installation procedure again and come back some other day, maybe there will be something new.

If you strive for perfection, there is an additional addon that fixes the bug with the game mode titles in the main menu (it was introduced in v1.3.0 as a necessary tradeoff):

It is in a separate project, because it would be incompatible with the most popular addons that add the server browser in the main menu. So use it only if you really want to, it is optional.

As for the Garry's Mod requests — no, I got no such plans. At least not for the near future. But I might look into some other Source games, if I consider it worth a while.
