Informative, accurate bug reports are really important info.
I always playtest a lot, but I don't have too much access computers aside from my own desktop and laptop - so bug reports from users using different hardware is super valuable.

I know that the accelaration / throttle audio can sound choppy to some users.

It's not a common issue, but I'd want to find out exactly what's causing it and why.

May I ask, why?

Does the car engine audio sound broken / stutter often?
Please tell me - drop a comment.

Then, can you try turning on V-Sync in the video settings and see if it helps at all.
If that doesn't work, try downloading the less performance intensive version of the mod (in the description) and see of the audio is better on that version.

If neither of the above work - PLEASE tell me in the comments.

@el presidente The armored version of the car already has double health. That said, I've updated it so that the armored version takes significantly less damage when crashing.

@ian.leggett14 To use vehicle mods, go to Instant Action > Vehicle Switch, then replace a base game vehicle with a modded vehicle. By default, this mod allows you to replace the Jeep, MG Jeep and Quad with an AE86.

I recommend playing with the Vehicle Spawner mod so you can use place a new vehicle anywhere in the map.

I personally recommend timing yourself on how long it takes to finish a course. It's fun to see yourself get faster, and it's a nice incentive to get better with the car.
Last night, using the stock AE86, I got a 3m29s finish on Irohazaka Downhill, a 3m12s on NaCl²'s Mt.Akina / Haruna Pass, and a 4m20s on meowsandstuff's Mount Akina.

I think that's Mac compatibility issues fixed. Next I'll try to get working brake lights and make it easier to shoot vehicle passengers while they're inside.

Then again, not crashing is a matter of practice. Compared to sim racing games and the Audi Sport Quattro mod, this car is more forgiving to handle. Don't press down on the accel all the time - you're going fast , and the brakes take about a full second to get you down from max speed to a full stop.
I usually take it slow until I get the hang of how the car skids and how sharp the corners are.

I'm expecting the player to crash a lot while getting used to the car, so that's why the car only takes moderate damage when crashing at high speed, but I could make them take less damage. (I would still bring the Wrench equipment with you when racing)
If you're taking a lot of damage from crashing, try using the armored version of the car, since it has more health.

For the racing maps, the two maps by NaCl² maps have thinner roads, so are easier to crash on. Meowsandstuff's Mt.Akina has wider roads.

@屑白 I do agree that I could make the hitbox on the floor of the vehicle less low so it doesn't take damage when driving across bumpy terrain.

@2973509378 The turret itself is pink? Are the particles, muzzle flash or any other textures pink at all? I'll be able to test on a mac sometime this week. If it's something I can fix, I'll try to get it working.

MG one doesn't seems to be mac compatiable, the turrent is pink. Can you please seperate the file so that I can delete the mg one? This mod is amazing I have to say

For my controller bindings, I just have the analogue stick to turn, accel and brake set to X and Y buttons, the rest of the buttons for getting into the car, switching to the driving seat etc.

If you're using a Steam Controller setup, I'd be careful about binding the accel and brakes to the trigger / shoulder buttons. The Steam controller trigger buttons are by default set as Mouse1 and Mouse 0, meaning that accelerating would spam the driver seat horn.

@Inquisitorial Imperator Same controls as any other Ravenfield vehicle. If your wheel is compatible with the game and you've somehow found a keybind that works for you, then sure.
I don't own a sim racing steering wheel, so I'm afraid I haven't been able to test with one.
I did test with a controller though, and once I reassigned the button maps a little (starting off from 'Options > Input > Load Preset > Steam / Xbox Controller), it was fully usable and pretty fun.

Is this fanatec wheel compatible? :P
