Imagine the weight you have with this.
Blanqmind Aug 26, 2024 @ 9:29pm
Sorry, it started working again and forgot about this.
obsidianbrian Aug 20, 2024 @ 7:34am
I have been looking for a mod like this but i want to make my weapons like 2000% longer for the meme. What would be the best way to achieve this?
Saibot Strike Aug 16, 2024 @ 5:58am
Ok, after some testing, I can confirm that it works without any issues with the latest version.
Saibot Strike Aug 16, 2024 @ 3:24am
Alright, I'll give it a try with the new fix and will let you know, thanks again
DanScallion  [author] Aug 15, 2024 @ 10:56pm
You have to match it to your game version the legacy version is for older game versions that have one more fix that devs later fixed, trying to fix it again WILL crash your game.

Assuming you have recent patch or one after 1.2.1, then you should install the new one.
Saibot Strike Aug 15, 2024 @ 11:52am
Do you need the WeaponFapFix legacy or the newest version? Because you mention that for 1.2.1 and beyond one should use the newer version. Thanks for your hard work, by the way! :)
DanScallion  [author] Jun 26, 2024 @ 1:45pm
@Blanqmind I use it since Nov 2022 so are other people.
Did you install all requirements? What game version are you using? What other mods are you using?

Seriously, "does not work" does not help me fix your issue.
Blanqmind Jun 26, 2024 @ 5:47am
does not work
Chapay40 Mar 31, 2024 @ 1:25am
If you have RBM, attacking too close will cause pommel blunt hit, and your weapon will bounce.
DanScallion  [author] Mar 24, 2024 @ 11:43am
Then it must be something with some other mod because the only thing my mod does is changes slider, nothing with how weapon behave. Neither did i ever experience anything like it ever.
Cheektaro Breejo Mar 24, 2024 @ 11:38am
It's bouncing off of nearly unarmored bandits, who aren't blocking, with 147 cut power and over 300 Two Handed weapon skill. I'm sure it's not something to do with they being too armored or the swing not being fast enough or hitting too early in the animation, I'm hitting them in all the ways I should be.
DanScallion  [author] Mar 23, 2024 @ 4:59pm
They blocked or it had not enough strength/momentum to penetrate shield/armor. Game mechanic, long weapon may hit more enemies and make it easier for one of them to block it.
Cheektaro Breejo Mar 23, 2024 @ 1:19pm
Currently having an issue, I have a very long two handed sword, 200+ length, and it works great but sometimes it just bounces off of enemies that aren't defending or anything. This usually happens at very close and medium range. Do you know how to fix this, or if there is another mod that I can use to fix it?
badrtresnul Feb 6, 2024 @ 1:45pm
ok bro, i understand the problem. sorry for can't help you hahaha, i have few knowledge about prog but not as much ^^
DanScallion  [author] Jan 3, 2024 @ 12:04pm
Yes, the way game handles crafting is, it has its own formula for calculating speeds and damage. Weapon that are too long would realistically be very slow, very long weapons like spears and lances thought do not get the same penalty for thrusting. I am looking to find a place I can inject code to alter that formula.
badrtresnul Jan 3, 2024 @ 11:16am
hello bro, when we craft BIG weapon, our main character is very very slow when i attack someone
DanScallion  [author] Dec 17, 2023 @ 9:05am
Do you have all requirements?
DanScallion  [author] Dec 17, 2023 @ 8:58am
This mod mostly adds new code, it works and uses one obscure function from game code, the only way it would break is if devs renamed or removed it.
DanScallion  [author] Dec 17, 2023 @ 8:53am
Would be useful to give some details beside "no longer working". What other mods are you using, game version, load order etc. Most importantly what does no longer working mean, does it crash, does it have no effect etc. Works for me but there could be some mod compatibility or something that breaks it, I can't help you, if you don't give details.
xiachang2468 Dec 17, 2023 @ 7:59am
No longer working.
Gen Sep 20, 2023 @ 2:22pm
That is good to know! Thanks!
DanScallion  [author] Sep 20, 2023 @ 1:19pm
Keep in mind swing and damage work differently for polearms, their damage increase the bigger mass and length they have, and thrust seems to be unaffected by that calculation. I can safely make 4 meter long lances (which existed in real life, for cavalry) to get some nice polearms.
DanScallion  [author] Sep 20, 2023 @ 1:16pm
Its how devs wrote weapon scaling when crafting. To alter i would need to rewrite whole crafting thing and break every mod that adds weapons, and most likely whole game balance. The only feasible way to do it would be to "hack" it and force some sort of cap that overwrites it on the go, but that has its own problems. E.g. i'd need to find suitable place I can inject code without weapon reverting spontaneously.
Gen Sep 20, 2023 @ 4:24am
I see now that while it isn't written in the text, the gifs show that damage goes down quickly with increased size. I read in the comments, DanScallion, that you're working on a function to alter the ingame formula. Would damage be included in this? And how is that going?
Gen Sep 20, 2023 @ 3:49am
With 1.1.6, It seems to work fine, except that the damage of everything I craft drops off greatly if I increase scale over 100%. For example, crafting a 2h mace which goes from 85 damage at 100% to 55 at 140%, 19 at 150% and then drops down to 10/11 at 170% and higher. Is this intended? Because I understand the drop in speed with increased range/size, but damage should go up, no?
Ublydok mat' tvoyu a nu idi syda Jul 28, 2023 @ 9:18am
sadly, taleworlds didnt fixed their bug which reverts modifiers for weapons after save. can there anything to be done?
DOOM Jul 1, 2023 @ 12:32am
thank you. my cute little toy maces are now got a reasonable size.
DanScallion  [author] Jun 23, 2023 @ 11:39am
Not possible, the game formula doesnt support width scaling, only length, I'd have to rewrite the whole backbones of the crafting and weapon rendering to enable it and to give custom width of parts. The only reason uniform scaling exist is because it already existed for hammers, I just made it also apply to swords. I'd also have to modify UI and add new slider, and I'd have to make so it actually saves and loads the values that it doesn't save right now.
13 ☠ MOR ☣ 19 Jun 23, 2023 @ 7:33am
it would be great if you made 2 sliders responsible for the width and length separately:yazdsmile:
DanScallion  [author] Jun 23, 2023 @ 3:20am
I am currently working on a function to alter ingame formula that calculates weapon swing speed from weapon length, but I have to make sure it doesn't break anything else.
13 ☠ MOR ☣ 19 Jun 22, 2023 @ 9:39pm
is there any way I can speed up the swing process before hitting? a big sword is cool, but it's not cool that it moves sooooo slow
DanScallion  [author] Jun 20, 2023 @ 12:02pm
Just checked it and it is for 1.6.1 (beta). No idea if that would work with newest game as I do not have his source code, but it does not seem to allow for uniform scaling meaning no GUTS sword, just longer, there is also no configuration.
13 ☠ MOR ☣ 19 Jun 20, 2023 @ 10:53am
@DanScallion No, just NEXUSmods have similar mod, i writed it name
DanScallion  [author] Jun 20, 2023 @ 10:49am
Please no swearing. Does something not work?

BIGFУCKINGSWORD???
Mekamino Jun 7, 2023 @ 7:15am
Ok then we have to just wait for release. Thanks for help anyway
DanScallion  [author] Jun 7, 2023 @ 6:47am
Then its caused by some other mods or by the game itself. I know there is one bug like that that devs already fixed but has not been released into live build yet. At least they claim that on their forum.
Mekamino Jun 7, 2023 @ 2:33am
So I disabled your mods and problem still appears
Mekamino Jun 6, 2023 @ 4:43pm
Yes, I mean it like it was master crafted and is normal instead. And sure I'll do as you say and report to you how it looks
DanScallion  [author] Jun 5, 2023 @ 3:14pm
Could you disable both of my mods, craft weapon, save, reload and report me if it still reverts?
DanScallion  [author] Jun 5, 2023 @ 3:12pm
Hi, what do you mean that rank of the weapon is reduced? As in it was master crafted and is normal instead?

Could you tell me what version of game are you using and what other mods do you use?
Mekamino Jun 4, 2023 @ 12:26pm
Hi, after reloading a save my weapon is all broken, specs, length and rank of the weapon are reduced. I have a weapon gap fix. can you help me? It's really frustrating to load on a save and having to craft weapon again
DanScallion  [author] May 6, 2023 @ 10:10am
Do you mean in mod menu or if you craft it does not save the length? Because it works fine for me. Could you post your load order? Do you have weapon gap fix? Which version of harmony and mod menu?
BIGDICKOSKAR#420 May 6, 2023 @ 10:03am
It is not saving length of the weapon, it just does the smallest, middle, or largest
DanScallion  [author] May 5, 2023 @ 12:39pm
@CatholicL It works fine with 1.1.3, devs didnt touch any code that would break it. Patch didn't change anything in the obscure functions my mods touches, and unlikely will ever. If some patch break it for some reason update will be made while it is still in beta, this way I have time to figure out why it broke.

What issue do you experience?
CatholicL May 5, 2023 @ 11:24am
Hey, Dude! Can you uptade this mod to 1.1.3 ? Cuz I love this mod..
CatholicL May 5, 2023 @ 11:24am
1.1.3 please
