Can you pleeeaaassseee update this mod for 1.2? Idk how compatible it is so far, but this is by far the best Vic3 mod and idk if I can play without it!

Sorry, I have discontinued work on this mod because I am no longer enjoying playing or modding V3 in it's current state. As I mentioned before, if @KaiRui or anyone else wishes to fork the project to update it anyone is free to do so.

Cheers. Btw everyone, a simple fix to the legitimacy issue is to delete the "law" folder within the mod files. I'll look into modifying that without needing to delete that folder, in order to keep Lotus' changes to laws.

Hi Lotus, I understand your frustrations with the state of this game. I just want to say that this mod, combined with a few others like Anbeeld's, actually make the game quite enjoyable and at least somewhat plausible. It's up to you, as it's your free time, but if you do want to update your mod from time to time, I think a lot of people would appreciate it. If not, do you mind if others copy the mod's base files and try to modify them?

In general I recommend to just not use this mod right now as it needs updates for the recent patches. I'm sure there are other weird quirks/issues as well.

As I said before, I don't really feel like it is time well spent working on trying to improve V3 in it's current state, so I do not plan to release any update for the time being.

It was driving me nuts trying to figure out which mod was affecting legitimacy but it seems other's have figured it out.

This is an amazing mod and I hope you are able to fix whatever the bug is.

It appears as though this mod breaks legitimacy for anything that isn't above landed voting it's almost impossible to have anything above contested government and that's only if you're lucky. I understand the author has been busy but I think everyone should know that this is an issue

sadly, I understand how you feel about current state of the game completely. I was willing to be optimistic for the first month or so, but v3 just keeps getting more and more broken with each patch. pdx really needs to get their ♥♥♥♥ together already...

still, this mod is an amazing effort and I want to thank you again for making this mess a bit more playable and immersive these past few weeks! :) You and Anbeeld are already legends in my book!

Hey all, I have not updated the mod yet because I have been busy with IRL but honestly more because I am kind of disillusioned with V3 for now. The game is not in a very good sate overall and it feels futile to try to put a band-aid over it right now. I might be back whenever there is an actual big update to the game. Sorry.

it seems to me that Texas consistently peaces out of the war at game start, even when the US is winning the war. Maybe there should be some buff to Texas to help?

Hey all, just wanted to give an update that I have been attempting to get the mod updated, however 1.1 seems to have broken something with AI diplo play logic and I don't want to release a mod update while Prussia and Italy are both broken. (which they currently are) I've posted a bug report on Paradox forums hoping to get some attention as I feel like this can't be an issue in the mod with how much I've narrowed it down in my testing.

There also seem to be in general a lot of 1.1 issues and there will probably be a Paradox hotfix patch this week or next, but that is just my guess. (issues like crashes and a big issue with Capitalists)

Thanks for the great mod! Would it be at all possible to have a version of the mod that just includes the AI behaviour changes without the game start changes? I am using this mod in combination with other mods that change the map, and I think it would help compatibility without any load order shenanigans. No worries if not, thanks for the great work!

@lake I disagree about agression. I think only thing that needs to be toned down about agression is AI should not declare war on player first 6 months against player because right now nations like burma kinda impossible since AI dows day 1 :D (I am not saying it doesn't make sense... its just brutal to player XD )
other than that AI being even more aggresive is fine for me
Currently AI is expanding as long as they don't trigger aggresive expansion which is amazing

I want to echo what Vander said, it's pretty much 100% what I came here to say. Very interested in this mod, I think the aggression needs to be toned down a good bit but that the added aggression and it's direction of where it goes is pretty good so far. While the player can be ambitious and make big conquests, I think that players typically do it in bursts after economic considerations are made. The AI may need to consider whether it would prefer to grow it's economy and whether it's worth attacking now or later but I am a user who is commenting on things I do not understand. All I really mean is that, like Vander said earlier, it happens quickly and is a bit much.

The wars the AI is choosing to wage are much more ambitious and realistic, however the number of wars they are declaring is far too many, resulting in things happening way too quickly. I am in 1844, and the Dutch have conquered all of Indonesia, the EIC has conquered Siam and Burma, Canada has already formed, and Sardinia Piedmont has conquered most of the small Italian states. These are all things that should be able to happen throughout a playthrough, but not all in the first ten years. I think you should scale back the AI's willingness to start Diplo Plays.

Really like the mod, but I had to turn it off unfortunately. With this mod enabled it seems like the AI fairs much worse (with AroAI). My last game as Japan I had ~1bn GDP, meanwhile GB and US were around half if that. With this mod disabled, and no other changes, AI Britain and USA were reaching up to 2bn, which is around the same as me.

Maybe the AI is too aggressive? I really like how the AI decides to war (claiming lots of land and pushing infamy), but they seem to always be starting some play or another to the detriment of their economic growth.

@Lilin thanks for the feedback, this auto-capitulation in stalemates should not be happening when a player is involved in the war. I will fix that.

However, I am hoping we see Paradox's official 1.1 patch soon and I am trying to refrain from spending too much more time on the mod before then. I will probably not update the mod for a week or two as that's the earliest I'm expecting to see that patch come.

The mod is great so far, dont have many complaints other than imo the small states in İtaly should stay in Austria's customs union otherwise Austria doesnt get involved at all in İtaly, and other than İtaly great powers overall dont take action in diplomatic plays so it becomes too snow bally other than that id say the ai is fine this isnt fully ai problem i guess but the stalemate give up thing triggers way too easily, id prefer it fully removed as it takes away from the game imo but like i shouldnt or the ai shouldnt just be forced to surrender for a very temporary stalemate, lost and won a lot of wars in a cheesy way because of that, sadly kind of a deal breaker for me

@Lotus I do note that it only happened in 1880 tho (If I get it correctly), but fair enough ^^. The vanilla game has way too much of them anyway. At least here they're rarer, but more decisive.

Which files are the ones concerning the changing of government in the Dutch East Indies and South Africa (unless there are others I missed)? DEI changes into a Presidential Republic after absorbing it's puppets shortly after game start and South Africa turns into a Military Dictatorship.

Would be great if defenders would at least pick one conquest goal. Its a bit sill to see Italy attempting to get South Tyrol and Istria for the 3rd time which fine but Austria only going for war reps makes only limited sense, especially given that they would just try to reclaim venetia and lombardy if not more if there were successive wars. Even an AI should try to weaken a threat longterm. Other than that it looks great :)
