my *second* apologies-i vassalized Fezzan in this game and *they* were the ones sieging cairo. as soon as i err..*didnt cheat to tag switch and move their armies to the fuck off dessert* i got control of the siege and got the event. Beware the Vassal swarm friends, and please check this mod out.

It would only be fair to have an opposite event for the mamluks, they could get Rum as their vassal.

yes, this mod is an otto buff, but last few games that i had ottos were pretty weak against spain, Polish-Lithuania, Russia.

Then again, the Ottomans regularly siege Cairo, so, it should work just fine.

To Taissiaa: ottoman_mamluk_war_events.1 is the Ottoman's event for Death of the Mamluk Sultan, ottoman_mamluk_war_events.2 notifies the Mamluks, and ottoman_mamluk_war_events.3 is Collapse of the Mamluk Sultanate.

got you. thanks for the response. This is an awesome mod. I've only ever played ottomans once as a newbie to eu4 and didnt totally understand everything involving advisors and tech, so i fell behind in tech and got crushed by commonwealth. Next time i play Ottos i will definitely download this mod though. Would be super cool as a slightly different historical route if you made it so any nation could engage in this route with the mamluks. Those pesky buggers keep somehow surviving and retaining all of arabia and ethiopia.
