Released an update (1.12) which enables compatibility with the latest Victoria 3 patch (1.10) and the National Awakening DLC.

A major update has been released for this mod. Several new gameplay elements and improvements have been added in v1.11. Check out the description and the changelog for more details.

Also I added a short video to introduce the features of the mod.

A new version has been released compatible with the latest Victoria 3 patch (1.9.2). I have made several changes to the mod content as well.
- Laws have been changed: Netherlands now starts with Laissez Faire and Free Trade along with Land Tax and Local Police. This better represents the Dutch situation in 1836, which was much more market economy focused terms of economic and trade policy compared to other European countries.
- Coal mining efficiency in Gelre (Limburg) have been significantly lower in terms of efficiency to simulate the lack of coal production prior to 1870. The fully potential can be unlocked by completing a journal entry and getting to the required technologies (Steam Donkey and Nitroglycerin).
- Changed the traits for the Dutch monarchs (Willem I, Willem II and Willem III) that were already born in 1836. After Willem III there will be no historical monarchs.

Made a new (lite) version of the mod to implement some of the changes to the Netherlands with the latest patches of Victoria 3. As a consequence I had to remove the newly added state changes within the Netherlands from this mod. This ensures better compatibility with all the map changes made by Paradox. As Paradox also implemented some of the changes to the pops in the Netherlands (having catholic pops) I removed my fix to also better ensure compatibility with current and future Victoria 3 patches.

The mod's implementation of the territory of curacao (Dutch Zulia) has been kept in this mod.

Just briefly checked compatibility with V3 v1.1.2 and no changes needed to be made. I only changed the official compatibility status of the mod with the new V3 patch (v1.1.2) status.

@ Kato Hauge Hoyland It is not been made fully compatible yet, however it seems you can still use this mod in V3 v1.1. I will look to make an official compatible version of this mod later this week.

Please consider moving mod-specific localization to their own files (i.e. hub_names_l_english.yml to NL_hub_names_l_english.yml) for better mod compatibility.

If those loc needed to be overwritten, that will also overwrite any vanilla value you wanted anyway. Hope this helps :)

@Scoutpie: slave trading by the Dutch was outlawed in 1815. Slavery itself wasn't abolished until 1863, with most former slaves being forced to work on the plantations for a meagre wage for an additional ten years, as compensation for any losses the planters might incur because of the abolition. In the Dutch East Indies the system of exploitation that wasn't explicitly labelled as slavery continued for quite a while longer.

Historically, Netherlands was still a Constitutional Monarchy at this point, though an edge case with the Monarch having a bit more power. But this should be represented by Appointed Bureaucrats imo. Being a simple Monarchy feels bad in this sense.

I would really like a better flag for a democratic Netherlands. If we stick with the lion I would maybe like something as the old flag of Holland. Or use the lion in another cool way. But I don't like the red on orange one. Even if it was white or blue it would be better I think. (Or just the normal flag, fine then ;)

Just some food for thought if you would like to add more! Your mod is very good!

Another coal mine in Brabant is good. Maybe there were immersive stuffs like flags, coalition name, polder and beer to be seen! love neds anyway

You missed aruba also you should add the island of sint maarten. As for cultures it'd be cool if you added a limburgish culture that would be split between the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.

Thank you, was really annoyed with all the mistakes and the missing Dutch Antilles.

Now the only things are the placement of Rotterdam (On the spot where The Hague should be) And the weird ahistorical enormous Harlingen (a small fishingtown with 15k inhabitants) but no Leeuwarden (the capital of Friesland). But I don't know if those changes are possible with mods at the moment.

Hi Blackfyre, always helping "the Netherlands" out with game fixes! This should provide a decent fix for the Netherlands in the game. Paradox will probably fix it too eventually, but I'm too impatient :D.
