A note for the modder: Seems like states won't build trade centers unless they already have one built. So please consider adding one trade center, and maybe even one port to each country. Thanks

I get pink face events, like below. The event has no name, and it is something like "Change the player's controlled country to New Zealand from Duchy of Sicily" (I am playing sicily). I tried to look into the game files, but I don't find a solution

Ach, what I need to get is a mod like this that also adds the "Unify [country]" AI for every formable to make the AI more aggressive in forming larger nations.

@Solitus not that im aware, you could easily edit the country files tho and make them decentralized again
@regarding your pink face events, that sounds like a vanilla bug to me, if you encounter that again I would need the event names since its not every event from what I read

is there a mod like this but it leaves all the decentralized powers alone? so it only breaks apart the existing places (doesn't form Uganda for example)

Getting the same bug as both Droppy and BlemBoi, pretty sure its from better politics, and Pkingtiger in that comment section has the same issue.

Hello! Getting a bug where it keeps starting events with a pink face, expression varying, every few months. Shadong as starting country if that matters.

@Sir Tiberius, it could be as easy as opening common\country_definitions\00_countries.txt of this mod. Then do a find and replace all and just change it from recognized to unrecognized. That could be it, maybe more idk

@Kondo that0s why I said that if you know what to touch in the events files, you can just delete that one.
I would give you a better direction but I'm busy with other stuff, maybe try the modding discord ?
They will pinpoint what to edit faster than I can.

@Sanosuke It's not warfare, it's an event where Italian states annex each other. Its the one where you choose "We welcome our brothers" or something like that and annex the state. And it happens super early

@Kondo if you know what to touch, you can edit the events (if we are talking about an event that triggers that italian absorption, haven't played in a while), if they are just expanding too fast hmmm reduce AI aggro maybe, but that will make the game too easy, mind you.

Usually with this mod and aggro at max the are at least 3 or 4 military powers per continent that try to overrun neighbours in the "early" game.

@Sanosuke they can hardly publish a fixed 1.8 version if I havent published that version yet ;)

@Mon thank you very much. I had an exlusion for the charater templates as that cause issues some patches ago if you didnt have the tags they are targeting. So I had to have a version of the default template which they changed enough from 1.7 to 1.8 so that some new characters created were missing values. Ive removed the exclusion now and wont need to maintain the default template anymore.

I fixed your mod, you are for some weird reason overwriting the character template folder, which causes a crash.

@Lillian this mod is still on 1.7 as I cant roll out the 1.8 version due to a vanilla bug it seems. So anything you might experience right now if you dont roll back to 1.7

i always get uncolonizable Areas which are actually part of a big nation in base game, but i cant colonize, or interact in any shape or form

Mods that modifies characters/people seem to be having the same 6 month into crash or 5 years of game into crash issue...
Not sure what is up with that or why it seems to happen too on shatter mods... but it's Paradox so probably something is borked in the vanilla game...

In theory I got an 1.8 version but it always crashes between 3-6 months into the game. Error log is inconclusive but always points to something with characters. Maybe its a vanilla issue, imma ask around^^

@Sultan Murad IV would have surprised me if it worked with 1.8. There are a couple of bigger changes that should cause hard issues.

Game is constantly crashing after x amount of time. I can continue due to auto saves, but I need to restart the game constantly. Is there a reason for this ? Am i the only one ?

When I have this mod enabled, and it took ~6 regrettable hours of troubleshooting to find out, the game always throws either dozens or hundreds of "[gfx_dx11_master_context.cpp:412]: Failed creating buffer" errors per second. By the time I select a new country and am loaded in, the debug console reveals that there are already >77000 errors.
I've been told this constantly failing buffering has severe effects on performance, can cause memory leaks which are even worse for performance and can corrupt save files, that it also increases the likelyhood of crashes (I've suffered dozens and eventually hit a brick wall with my previous save game) and that these adverse effects are more pronounced the further one progresses in the game.

I don't know why or how this happens, but since this is both my favorite mod and apparently the murderer of God knows how many playthroughs of many... Oof.

@Zyntax all vanilla tags have been removed for compatibility. Instead, each culture and in turn country has access to itn own national state. Those tags were created by me programatically, so there is no extra flavor for them. That was and is out of scope for this base mod

@Update
- Formables now require pan-nat to form. States that contained only one cultures were a bit too eager to just assume whatever possible. This should keep the windows for ambitions open and give the multi culture tags more time breathe as forming any formable removes other primaries as you know from vanilla.
- Changed startup laws, its now hereditary instead of appointed bureaucrats and state religion instead of freedom of consciousness, this should improve performance by a bit
- Consolidated all 600+ history/population files into a single one to improve maintainability and probably loadup times
