Even with editing the file I'm still having problems with it. Sometimes kids come out with the right color, sometimes not. And the inbreeding part doesn't work.So definitely not working as intended now, needs an update of some kind probably.

Can confirm as of May 2025 that this mod works IF you follow @ArmyGamer's slight tweaking! I combined it with the Atlantis mod and now I'm supreme hegemon of the Western Hemisphere hehe

For those of you that want get the hair and eye colors working.
Open the mod file .....\steamapps\workshop\content\1158310\2866314502\gfx\portraits\trait_portrait_modifiers\valyria.txt
In the file you need to add human parent element to the json in each of the three dna modifiers.
Old way: dna_modifiers = {
color = {
gene = skin_color
mode = replace

New: dna_modifiers = {
human = {
color = {
gene = skin_color
mode = replace
}

Haven't figured out if there is an issue with the inbreeding chances, but i did see warnings about it in the marriage screen with low percents.

A very good modification. But how to make this trait appear in the characters in the game, without creating your own character? Perhaps someone can make an additional modification to this. And fertility should be reduced, as there are too many children.

@UhtredOfBannerlord my guess is you remove the valyria.txt inside the \gfx\portraits\trait_portrait_modifiers. I have not tested it though.

it's still showing as out of date. Is there something I need to do on my end to update it.

Is there a way to remove the changes to appearance but keep everything else? Thanks
