Yes, a rework is coming for Planetary Diversity, although it may take some time. I will probably release a preliminary update in the next few weeks to adjust for planet classes, but new textures for the new planet types may take a few months to complete.

Hey man, I know it's a bit early considering the updates just dropped but I may as well ask
Do you expect to be able to eventually update STP (if necessary) to account for the PD rework?

My main thought is about the new arcology graphics in the more arcologies submod, since the corpo arcology has some new stuff going on

That and the fact that PD has removed a lot of its planet classes, and now works more as modifiers for vanilla planet classes, I'm not sure how that would interact with this mod, since I haven't done much graphics related modding for stellaris

Sorry to ask right after the update, but it doesn't hurt to be early lol

I recall the very first versions of Immersive Galaxy had a decision that rerolled planet textures so that they show up with save games. Any chance of recreating that?

I've noticed that the wet tidally locked world has a weird graphic bug where the clouds flicker in patches.

Will there be a future set of mods for Planet Diversity's planetary habitats? I've noticed that these textures are overriding the ones from the planetary habitats mod.

As Gatekeeper is going to rework his base mod PD, using modifiers and set_planet_entity command instead of planet classes of regular and rare worlds, I'm afraid you will have to overwrite his scripted effects in future updates.

I have both this & Better Arcologies.

And the LO said it should be under PD & RS, I use both. Do I put the mods under PD its submods & RS & the RS submods ?

Yes, that texture was released after I finished this mod. I am continuously updating it, and that's next in line.

This or arcologies textures break my savegames after update on 20.11. Nothing else changed. New games work just fine. :/

Yeah, unfortunately the way Planetary Diversity is coded makes it hard to overwrite the files unless you make substantial changes to its code. I want to make this mod as simple as possible, and don't want to mess too much with another mod that's not mine.

Best way around it is to manually change the entity via console.

This mod still includes the vanilla textures. So they may still appear.

Are you using a custom shipset for the Ecumenopolis? Or playing on Earth?

seems to happen with relic worlds and ecumenopolises too, i am using the submod for ecumenopolises and i have them in the correct load order. it might straight up just happen with every texture from this mod but i am not certain of that.

i do notice that half of the time it loads the machine world texture from this mod, but a lot of the time it loads the vanilla one, also noticed that the machine world textures from this mod does not have the machine world ambience sound

yes i did. arcologies for normal empires worked with the textures, same goes for normal ecumenopolis, its just the machine stuff that didnt work. i tried this with only planetary diversity, more arcologies and the 2 texture mods
