@Sungseon: We're older and have made different design decision and historical interpretations.
Sungseon Sep 21 @ 6:40am
how is it different from fallen eagle
LT. Rascek  [author] Aug 17 @ 7:11pm
@Eiszett: This will get a review when we get to implementing Roman government overhaul.

@Abaci - In the short term, same as CK2 WtWSMS Beta; i.e., Rule of the Dukes, so late VIth century. Longer term, probably to Charlemagne's coronation, but that's a _long_ term goal.

@C-Thor: That's probably better fixed with overhauls to the year-in-implementation triggers for clothing, but that sort of overhaul is currently not a high-priority target. Or, at the very least, we're targeting that with a migration overhaul down the line.
C-Thor Aug 17 @ 2:54pm
can you make all of the germanic cultures use the norse style clothing and not holy roman imperial it looks weird for tribal people to be dressed up in fancy HRE clothes
Abaçı Aug 11 @ 6:49am
@ LT. Rascek what is the latest playable start date do you guys currently plan? I don't have much remaining to give historical suggestions for the current start date but I have things though I have plenty I can suggest for later dates
Eiszett Aug 8 @ 1:35pm
The Eastern Roman Empire tends to hoard kingdom titles, instead of giving them back out to vassals
LT. Rascek  [author] Aug 6 @ 7:22pm
@Romulo Augustus: We cannot guarantee compatibility with any other mod. Please see if you can reproduce the bug with no other mods enabled.
Romulo Augustus Aug 6 @ 9:29am
LT. Rascek  [author] Aug 1 @ 5:20pm
@Fra: Based on your description, I am unable to diagnose what the problem could be, as I am able to get both Latin Succession and press claims in WtWSMS as the Sardinian.

Are you playing with additional mods? We cannot guarantee compatibility with other mods.
Otherwise, you'd need to file a bug report on the discord and provide more details and screenshots.
Fra Aug 1 @ 11:23am
Sardinian culture has latine heritage since the beginning.

It was Sub-Roman Dynastic, but it happened even with Roman Dynastic in my new run. It did not just changed the succession law, this time, but also the centralization.

They were normal claims for counties made by the ecclesiast. Even if I had those claims, they were "invisible" when I tried to declare war.
LT. Rascek  [author] Jul 31 @ 8:57am
@Drago:
We cannot guarantee any compatibility with other mods.
VIET *might* be alright (big *might*), but we cannot promise compatibility with any mod, as we're a TC mod and don't have dedicated compatibility subteam.
Greetings! Is there any collection with this mod? I am curious what mods are compatible or recommended to play together
LT. Rascek  [author] Jul 30 @ 5:25pm
@Fra:

* Did you set the rule to allow Latin traditions to be accessible by non-Latin heritages? Otherwise they become inaccessible as heritages shift.
* Which government are you using? I think succession laws are re-evaluated shortly after death before succession, so if the government doesn't support primogeniture, I can see that happening.
* Cannot reproduce the CB issue. Are the claims for existing titles?
Fra Jul 30 @ 11:09am
Also, I wanted to get "Latin Tradition" for the sardinian culture, but it was nowhere to be found even if it was a vailable option at the start of the game. Another one: I kept getting partition succession law even if I switched, multiple times, to Primogeniture; no warning that I was losing land after the death pf the character.
Fra Jul 30 @ 11:02am
As an indipendent sardinian ruler, I could not utilize my claims to declere war in Hispania
LT. Rascek  [author] Jul 29 @ 6:42pm
@deadlypanda: We're still in Alpha and have a lot of things to do and fix before we can call it a public beta.
deadlypanda Jul 26 @ 1:13pm
I had no idea this was coming out, and I am STOKED
LT. Rascek  [author] Jul 26 @ 12:29pm
@kevinctierney: Fixed as of July 26
kevinctierney Jul 24 @ 1:43pm
Highly recommend you add Dalmatia's Capital to the list of cities that lets you keep the Western Roman Empire. As of now, Julius Nepos cannot press his claim against Romulus Augustus and keep the WRE if he wins, which does not make sense (pun not intended).
LT. Rascek  [author] Jul 5 @ 6:13pm
@39KILL39 - We need more details than that to diagnose the crash.
JesusChristIsLord Jun 27 @ 7:10pm
PARADOX, PLEASE ADD TIMELINE THAT GOES FAR BACK TO THE FALL OF WESTERN ROME MAN. Let players have a LONG 1000 years of dynasty building, PLEASE.
39KILL39 Jun 24 @ 6:32pm
doesn't work for me, keeps crashing
Lioncccp Jun 11 @ 4:01pm
Add something to the description about the Visigoths, I've always wanted to play in that era, but whenever I searched about the mod or some country that came to my mind or something like Arianism that was well discussed, I never found it.
Lioncccp Jun 11 @ 4:00pm
OGM I FOUND THIS MOD, I PLAYED ONCE WITH MY COLLEAGUE, BUT WE BOTH FORGOT ABOUT THIS MOD!!!
LT. Rascek  [author] Apr 24 @ 10:30pm
@Romulo Augustus:
That should be fixed with the next mod version (after the DLC drops); it's a byproduct of our tributary coloring system that will be obviated with the new tributary mechanics.
Romulo Augustus Apr 24 @ 11:09am
extremely good mod, but for me there is a bug with the administrative system and when I play with Western Rome out of nowhere the color of the empire changes to purple
LT. Rascek  [author] Apr 14 @ 6:12pm
@Blackhearted Shaman jr.:
With the new Admin government we're looking at revising the feudalization process, but we'll have to experiment with Admin government. If that goes well, we could potential add more off ramps, but we're trying to avoid adding things like merchant republics as that'd really require base game changes.

And if you're getting crashes, we'd be very interested in investigating those. Could you furnish us with saves relating to them?
Blackhearted Shaman Jr. Apr 14 @ 10:15am
First off just wanted to say this I have loved this mod for many years thank you for bringing it over to ck3 it has been fun even though it hasn't been updated in a while. Second have you guys ever thought of adding a different development path of sub-roman institutions? For example, if a sub Roman realm is making an ungodly amount of money they could transition into something like an oligarchy or a merchant Republic like we had in ck2.
(And before I may or may not be blasted for this the mod normally crashes before I could even get to feudalism with subroman so yeah)

@Elidurden123:
"China did not exist before 867."

Seriously, not until we get through the laundry list of remaining features to do for Western Europe. Getting China/Japan/Korea/Southeast Asia/Indonesia to the same level as, say, Persia, is a monumental undertaking.

We'll be keeping the current map until we're ready to start expanding, which would be completed at some indefinite time in the future.
Elidurden123 Mar 12 @ 3:18pm
Really loved this mod in CK2 and I am glad it has stayed to CK3 :) Any plans for the Mandate of Heaven expansion?
LT. Rascek  [author] Jan 14 @ 3:45pm
@TheAuditor: Cappadocian, Helleno-Thracian, Corduenian, Vandalic, Gothic, Gepid, and some Roman cultures, mostly dynastic names.

@BlueTh4nus: Thank you for the vote of confidence. Other start dates are projected, but we'd want more mechanics down before implementing them.
BlueTh4nus Jan 14 @ 8:41am
please collab with TFE, this mod looks great, I would love a Majorian start dates in the 450s
TheAuditor Jan 13 @ 7:39pm
What name_list changes other than Vandalic?
LT. Rascek  [author] Dec 29, 2024 @ 6:00pm
@Kulticus: Sometime soon for hotfix.
Solomon Dec 28, 2024 @ 11:30pm
Update?
LT. Rascek  [author] Dec 17, 2024 @ 8:36pm
@SALTY!: You would need to speak with the converter team for that; we don't maintain the converter.
SALTY! Dec 17, 2024 @ 8:11pm
Is this mod converter compatible?
Zorro Nov 30, 2024 @ 8:17am
Very cool. Great mod btw.
LT. Rascek  [author] Nov 29, 2024 @ 11:13pm
@Zorro: Yes, we do plan on updates. For now, it should be working fine with 1.14.1 and we'll have a hotfix for it sometime in December.
Zorro Nov 29, 2024 @ 1:45pm
Any plans to update? Just stumbled upon this as a person who loves the fallen eagle mod and roman history.
LT. Rascek  [author] Nov 22, 2024 @ 9:58pm
@Bunger: The other options I can think of are subscribe/unsubscribe or validate the integrity of the game files.
Bunger Nov 21, 2024 @ 12:16pm
Hi I tried the fix you had mentioned in previous comments and am still having the launcher tell me that the mod is for version 1.12 instead of 1.13.2. Any guidance would be appreciated.
NateDogg Nov 7, 2024 @ 12:32am
This worked! Thank you :)
NateDogg Nov 5, 2024 @ 5:50pm
Should be updated to the latest version but it seems to still be an older version on my machine. I brute forced it to load the recent update with the "create mod" copy and paste method, but the religions still have the UI problems indicating that it's pre-1.13
The Desert Fox Nov 4, 2024 @ 10:20pm
That actually did indeed fix it for me! Thank you very much–both for your help, as well as for searching for a solution! I appreciate it.
LT. Rascek  [author] Nov 4, 2024 @ 8:30pm
@The Desert Fox, @Democracy Officer Cryo:
Try this Reddit Thread and let me know if it works (I am unable to recreate your issues). Top answer should fix it (I hope).

The Desert Fox Nov 4, 2024 @ 6:32pm
Also, alas, I am encountering the same issue as Democracy Officer Cryo. I have both unsubscribed as well as re-subscribed to the mod several times, as well as reverted my game state back, but whenever I launch it is vanilla that boots up instead of WTWMS.
The Desert Fox Nov 4, 2024 @ 5:40pm
A great mod.
LT. Rascek  [author] Nov 2, 2024 @ 10:36am
@jamito: As we're in Alpha, we haven't finished translations to other languages at this time.

@Sungseon: We are not planning on doing any modding of the base map (i.e., extending to other regions), because that would require even more extensive work to support. And we're still working on getting the current map sufficiently correct for 476.
