Nice map but unfortunately only 46% buildable. I think you really need the 81 tiles mod here :-/

A lovely map. As a map maker myself, I would have a little bit less sea to land ratio. Setting that aside, well done!
JCSkyKnight Nov 20, 2022 @ 2:47pm
I really want to love this map but the sea flowing in at the river just really bugs me.

I've tried to change it myself but no luck yet. :KSad:

@Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1 The DLCs are considered vanilla because it was made by an official developer, not created by the community.

Additional Notes: Vanilla refers to the game, including all DLCs releases from the official without any modifications from the community.
Jacob_TV Oct 30, 2022 @ 12:35pm
U need dlc to download this map.
btw.
It says that is vanilla B R U H.

This was an absolutely beautiful map to build a city on. If you play with disasters on, its extremely prone to Tsunamis, so I recommend turning them off for this one. There are about 2 valleys and one delta. The assumption is that you build your city in the delta and then maybe branch off other towns in the valleys. The northern valley is the most scenic, I have to admit. Metros go really well with this map also. 9/10 would play again.

Lol, I should have known checking the comments on this map would be full of insanity. That aside really looking forward to trying out this map.

@bobfahren, that is the price humanity pays for a woke society, nonsensical and irrelevant comments. regards.

The rivers don't seem to flow out to sea. The ocean is actually pushing the flow back up a little bit. I think it's something to do with the low river level relative to the sea level. It's a shame, since it's a pretty map.
bobfahren Sep 12, 2022 @ 5:54am
Hahaha, all the tankie spam in the comments. As if the naming of a CS map deep into the steam workshop will change anything world politics. Get a life, boys.

Great map.

@ BoShi_erudition Taiwan was never replaced by People's Republic of China (PRC), but Republic of China (ROC) took over in 1945 from Japan. The only reason you mentioned 1971 is only because PRC was recognized as the legit sovereignty of China.

However, Taiwan is technically not a part of this since it's political status remains controversial since 1945. Nothing to do with the issue between PRC and ROC. It's only because ROC claimed their ownership of the island.

Claiming this is an internal affair is not accurate at all, the issue between PRC and ROC is more similar to the situation between North and South Korea in some ways, so please stop confusing people who do not understand the whole messy situation. Thanks.

@United Democrats of Cities
All countries that can join the United Nations are sovereign states (a sovereign state is a political entity represented by a central government that has sovereignty over a geographical area. International law defines a sovereign state as having a permanent population, a defined territory, a government, and A country that has the ability to establish relations with other sovereign states. It is also commonly understood as a sovereign state, i.e. an independent state.) Taiwan Province was replaced by the Chinese government in 1971, and China is the legitimate sovereign state in that seat. The Taiwan issue is China's internal affair, just as Hawaii is the US's internal affair.

Amazing work! It would be really nice if you would release a base game-compatible version, esp if it's only a highway, so those of us who don't have or can't run DLCs can use it :)

Enough history and politics for now. It's a nice map! Glad to see scenes of Taiwan in the game.
fred10416 Sep 5, 2022 @ 11:39pm
There is a place called Nanao in I-lan county, Taiwan. Coincidentally the same name as the part of Shantou City.

In fact, PRC never have administratively ruled Taiwan and China never took the island because Taiwan was thought of as a barbarian land, until emperor KangXi's reign in Qing dynasty. Qing Dynasty only had Taiwan for a few hundred years then they gave it to Japan in 1895, after losing the war in 1894. (Treaty of Shimonoseki, aka Treaty of Maguan)

Japan left Taiwan after WWII and in the Treaty of San Frascisco, they did not claim the sovereignty that the island should be returned to (Qing Dynasty was gone).
Taiwan was "technically" under temporary take-over by Republic of China (ROC), and ROC later claimed their "legibility" of having Taiwan. With the rise of PRC after WWII, ROC retreated to Taiwan in 1949 in the end. And this unsolved political status lasts till now.
fred10416 Sep 5, 2022 @ 11:39pm
In conclusion, China does have a huge cultural influence in Taiwan since 17th century, but the political relationship only lasted for about 2 centuries. Even the former leader of PRC, Mao Zedong, supported the idea of Taiwan's independence at the beginning. So I do not understand what is this argument of "history" is about.

FYI, a lot of Chinese people in Taiwan also killed indigenous people for "medicinal use" for centuries, with written records from 16th century till even early 20th century.

Can you release a map version that doesn't require Mass Transit? I can't buy it due to technical limitations in my region but the screenshots look amazing. Thanks in advance.

God these comments are so brain-dead can we please focus on the map and not on a civil war that has been going on for almost 100 years?
YangsterKTF Sep 4, 2022 @ 2:55pm
Thank you Palms Time, great map! Will you be building a city on it on YouTube, or was the interchange the only video featuring this map?

In response to weird Chinese ethnonationalists making a CS map political and claiming Taiwan is a "province" of the PRC:
Statehood is not decided by UN membership, the PRC wasn't a UN member from 1949-1971, does that mean it wasn't a real country in that period of time? Same goes for East and West Germany, both not part of the UN until 1973, but founded in 1949.
Also, stop bringing up US involvement in middle eastern wars lol, neither does it have anything to do with anything, nor is anyone defending America here. Your whataboutism only shows that you have no real argument except for imperialism.

There's a distinct lack of betel nut trees here. :D Also, in real life there's a beach resort with over 1,000 hand carved male genitalia about 20 minutes down the road from here! Wonder if we could model that in game.

Also, all of the little children going on and on about politics in the comments are pathetic. Show some thankfulness to the content creator for their hard work and free map for crying out loud.

@United Dxxxxx of Cities
Interesting Facts:
Why are you supporting the UN resolution now? Where were you when the US launched the Gulf War, invaded Afghanistan, and bombed Syria? Where were you?
Does UN RESOLUTION 2758 mention Taiwan and that Taiwan is a sovereign state? Does the resolution mention that Taiwan does not belong to China? The resolution refers to the PRC as the sole legal government of China.
When will Orion fly? I can't wait to see the big fireworks.

FYI:
Before the end of the fifteenth century, the native people of North America were Indians.
In the mid-12th century, the Song Dynasty began to extend its administrative power to Taiwan, placing Penghu under the jurisdiction of Jinjiang County of Quanzhou, Fujian Province, and sending troops to defend it.
I won't tell you the rest, because you don't respect history and can't find a complete history book in your library

@BoShi_erudition @buyaofangqi
Fun Fact,
U.N. never recognized that Taiwan is belong to PRC.
What U.N. Resolution 2758 did, is nothing but admit PRC to represent "China" in the U.N.
Taiwan sovereignty never belong to PRC.
If PRC is that "Good", I sure Taiwanese will be eager to reunite with PRC

FYI:
PRC only have 72 years/73 years after 1th Oct 2022.
On the other hand, ROC is having over 100 years.
If Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, How about Vladivostok?
天地一小猫 Sep 4, 2022 @ 6:36am
Nan'ao is Nan'ao County, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, people's Republic of China, and is not a division of the Taiwan Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China

In response to WTigerTw: I can say what I want because we are telling the truth, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, know why you don't respect history? Because the United States only has a history of three or four hundred years, so you have no roots. You can understand that I am saying that you have no mother.
BoShi_erudition Sep 4, 2022 @ 3:39am
It is best to mark it as Taiwan, China, which is a fact recognized by the United Nations and 180 sovereign countries around the world
