Very good idea.I just stopped playing Rome 2 when I was beseiged by the enemy and realised I could just replace my general in order not to lose him. Intuitively and immersion wise it made no sense. How could he escape from the beseiged city?

Great mod! Many thanks to the author for providing such a MOD that can improve the gameplay almost from the underlying logic.I have made a recommendation in the Chinese community.

Another great mod. This removes the ability to cheese movement points. There is an exploit where you can basically replace a general and get double the movement points. Great having this for multiplayer campaigns too

@Warriordude I am not an expert in scripting but I don't think that something like that is possible and even if, it would be really hard to make it work for AI.
And for making battle losses more significant it should be enough to drastically increase the cost of recruitment (and probably remove some buffs provided for the AI).

This might be a little off topic, maybe? Would it be possible to limit units to how many Stars a General has or rank, example a 1 star general can only recruit like lets say 6 units then as the General increases rank he can add 2 more units up to a max 8 star General with 20 units. Maybe have it work for AI as well, not sure it would be possible though? That in my opinion would make the game a lot more fun and even make battle losses more catastrophic especially during early campaign?
