Only recommendation is that the creator should weld the dev cars to a block of cardboard to be shot with a spud gun when the code is entered because it was causing serious frame-rate issues in some of the levels. The frames got so bad on some that it completely ruined the fun of the challenge, like the second to last level where I had to play the entire level with 10 fps. It was disappointing because the challenge itself was awesome, but I finished it with a headache not caused by the logic.
Also, on the last level there is a cheese where you just fall off the side and flick the finishing switch before starting the challenge. Got a time of 0.050 sec on that one.
(i destroyed the piston doors the solution car is in)
@liam3000 there is no hammer. I thought it was useless.
If you want bot builders not to be able to interact with anything put an elevator or a seat on a bearing so that you need to enter the control room first if you want to start it, this can be outside of the buildable area.
Also the demo bots - if you attach them to a cardboard block and only after entering the code a hidden spud gun disconnects it would be fetchable.
Really great job overall, just zero cheese protection.
1 - I chose white color sensors specifically to prevent the player triggering the checkpoints, which would make most challenges easily beaten on foot
2 - The default is no fuel consumption, however i enabled that for consistency as I wanted a limited fuel system for the thrusters so they aren't on 24/7 but that didn't work out really well so I abandoned that idea and left fuel consumption in
3 - Yes, that panel serves a purpose and you will learn it after beating the whole pack! It's a 4-digit code and you don't have a great chance of finding it by accident though
Lastly, is there really a secret code on the numpad in the garage, or did i just waste an hour pushing buttons? :D
Bugs: missing glass wall on L8 (9th level in the pack) there is a hole in the glass on the opposite side of the finish.
The level where you need a small, slim but wide and tall car was pretty challanging but i loved it!
