in addition, i wouldn't have been able to play this if i was on my own, not because it was scary, but because the map just gets so boring some times. the locations feel like they have a lack of polish into their design. i've played the original version and if I was to be honest I like that version much more better. it was creepy at first, but after the 2nd level it devolved some sort of boring 'go here do this go back' type of situation. while your skill in hammer far surpasses mine, I feel like this map would've gone well for a couple of more minutes in the oven.

also, for any map makers out there, earrape isn't how you make good horror.

the map was kind of spooky on its own but the jumpscare for the slenderman reskin on the hotel level was too goofy to be taken seriously

ngl ,,, i went thru this with my friend ,,, it felt creepy at first ,,, lost potential with the parking garage level cus no monster ,,, also it felt like a huge shitpost . . . in the immortal words of the spy ,,, this was huge waste of my time , , , quite buggy too ,,, also i had some weird bug where i couldnt see decals like arrows and words on the wall ,,, well half of them ,,, and my friend thankfully could ,,, i really hope this stuff gets patched up in the future , , , that it will get a remake of a remake ,,, and drop those cheap screams jumpscare ,,, all it does is hurt ears

Thanks, it's nice to see support from other creators. The map IS in development, problem is my 9-5 job is taking away a lot of my free time, the map is not abandoned but i don't have a release date yet

Oh I’m sooo sorry that I gave you reasons to improve your map. Just because you put this on the workshop doesn’t mean I have to suck up to you and tell you how great it is, I’m sorry you couldn’t handle my opinion.

Never heard of criticism? You think when people hate a movie they go and make their own to show how better they could do it? I just play the maps for fun, I gave you my criticism on the map and you go and tell me to make my own.

Ok, make a map in hammer and show me how it's done, be aware that writting a comment is easier than doing a map, then we will compare our like/dislike ratios and subscriptions

When playing a horror map where I have to find something, I shouldn't feel bored when trying to find it, that is the best way for someone to quit out the map and play something else, specifically the parking area level. There is little that will build up tension and make you feel scared and majority of that level was just boredom trying to find whatever it was I was looking for.

Mazes are enjoyable if they are done correct, but all of the levels that were somewhat scary counted on the fact that something else was hunting you with very cheap jumpscares. The atmosphere is not scary enough to keep you invested into attempting to find something. The backrooms should feel like there is something else with you, but rarely at times did I feel that way unless I directly saw the monster chasing me. My main point is there is very little tension or something to keep you invested in this, this map is only good for bad horror with loud screamers that happen out of nowhere.

Very lackluster map design, entire map is just mazes and attempting to find something for 30 minutes. Some parts were scary, but running around and trying to find something for that long is extremely boring, mazes are not fun when done like this. It had a few parts that were scary, but would not recommend playing. The entity downstairs in level 5 that crawls on all fours also has an awful hitbox, it should not be able to hit you when you are on top of the boxes or behind them when you first walk into the room.

Cheap scares, boring, difficult and long mazes, not a recommendation unless you're looking for a bad horror gmod map to play with friends.

Too bad there's no way to give ourselves weapons in the story version :(
