could you please make this mod the same standard of your 2023 gen3? I'm a gen2 fan but this mod are poor in graphic compared with your gen3 2023 mod😃maybe there's many people love gen2 too 😉

Some sound issues were brought about by an S397 update after the mod was released. While work is ongoing on the 2023 mod to finish it off and 2022 will get an update afterwards.

car sounds too low both inside and outside
compared with the 2020 version that I can't feel it's a v8 engine,please fix it,I love this mod very much 😊

There is something strange in the way they handle. Doesn't seem right to me at all. Even in pit lane your hardly moving and the tyres are screeching for no good reason. The FVR V8Supercars 2020 cars don't seem to have this problem they handle like you would expect. They are more drivable and don't have crazy tyre screeching.

Thank you to the FVR Team and extra help. It is most appreciated.

We cannot finish without a big thanks to Tim Pattinson @tpracedesign for his help in securing the various logos and designs on the Jordan Boys #49 wild card car. Also a shout out to Shane @ Racecentre for making this happen. Cheers Guys hope you enjoy

Also we have made some physics changes. We have corrected an error in the rear toe in settings which has made the car have less understeer now. We fixed some errors in the Ford Upgrade files. The ignition cut on the upshift has reinstated. And the big talking point "tyres".
We have revisited the tyre after feedback and we have tried to add some more slip angle to the tyre to make it more forgiving before going into a slide in an attempt to stop the sudden snap from grip to spin. In addition we have added a slight grip increase to the tyres overall which we believe has enhance the cars driveability and overall feel. The tyre degradation and life has also been tweaked to try and give more tyre life. We hope you like the improvements and welcome constructive feedback.

2022 has been updated to v22.11. In this update firstly we have added the Wild Card entries or rookies to the field. These appear under the team they race for and selectable to drive as you want. If you wish to have them included in the AI for the track which they raced you need to selct the appropriate AI class. eg for the main field it is FVR _V8SC22, however if you wanted the Winton rookies added you need to also tick FVR_V8SC22WIN and they will appear also. Please remember to increase the AI by the number of entries so as they will be included. The three classes are FVR_V8SC22WIN, FVR_V8SC22HV, FVR_V8SCBEN for Winton, Hidden Valley and The Bend.

Thank you so much for making this!

Interesting to see all the different remarks. Overall i like the mod but i don't understand the tyres. do tyres really go from 90 to 250 degrees in a 2 sec spin? one tiny bit of acceleration and the rear end is gone. I can appreciate what the modders are trying to achieve but i think you went way too far with the temps and there will be a tonne of mediocre drivers that will get no enjoyment from these cars. Pretty confident our racing group will stick to the 2020 mod because there will be way too many offs during races.
nipzon Jul 24, 2022 @ 1:33am
30 min race, normal wear. Hard compound, the AI all ellected for supersofts and I thought I will do the opposite. I was slipping and sliding on lap 8 thinking that AI will pit long before that, but out performed me. Lol I know AI lives in their own world but was hoping to out perform them on hards.
Feralarri  [author] Jul 21, 2022 @ 11:40pm
How long a race are we talking, Laps and Time? Ill see if I can work out why
Feralarri  [author] Jul 21, 2022 @ 11:38pm
Not sure there nipzon, the wear and grip are pretty linear right through to 10% left
nipzon Jul 19, 2022 @ 1:19am
The DNA of the V8SUPERCAR is that it is difficult to drive. There is nothing more rewarding than battling with a setup to get these monsters to go around a track competitively. At the moment I’m battling to get the tires lasting a race, or why the tire is slippery as hel at 80%.
Mr. Liability Jul 17, 2022 @ 12:47am
yeah I agree with Smokey, these cars seem to want to oversteer under braking and turn themselves around with little input
Schaminininini Jul 16, 2022 @ 4:48am
danke für die MOD ^^
Smokey Jul 13, 2022 @ 5:29am
Thanks for your efforts in releasing the 2022. The suspension seems off though. Wobbly, snappy and unpredictable at the same time.
MisterAkuma Jul 12, 2022 @ 12:39pm
Congratulations! Both cars feel great and are really fun to drive.
I have experienced a weird bug while racing in VR though. When racing near other cars, the screen seems to blink. If you are running alone or far from them, the problem is not there with the Holden but keeps happening with the Mustang, at a lower rate, I'm providing a video that shows this and also that the hands are not aligned with the wheel when turning. Youtube video

Manfredk2 I will check that out but it was working last time I tried def on upshifts
Feralarri  [author] Jul 12, 2022 @ 3:13am
Thanks nipzon

nipzon Jul 12, 2022 @ 2:58am
Also a donation to show my appreciation.

Modelling: FlashQld
Talent Files: Buzzhornet
Tyres: S397
Manfredk2kpr Jul 12, 2022 @ 12:09am
maybe a language barrier on my side: i mean not the downshifts, i mean that on upshifts the throttle doesn´t cut off
Feralarri  [author] Jul 11, 2022 @ 1:35pm
Manfredk2 please see the comments in the description above re this. The car rev limits at 7500 on upshift but due to recent game changes this atm is not possible on down shifts to the best of my knowledge
Manfredk2kpr Jul 11, 2022 @ 12:16pm
Maybe a stupid question: as it is a sequential gearbox, shouldn´t the throttle not be cutted off when shifting? The 2022 version revs up/over-revs when shifting so i have to lift the throttle. Tried the 2020 in comparison: there is a cut-off of the throttle when shifitng
teschionero Jul 11, 2022 @ 11:20am
Awesome Mod, all Australian's Superstar mods are fantastic. The Cars are very hard to drive as real Commodore/Mustang are. Great Job!
wdevenish Jul 11, 2022 @ 4:48am
Fantastic work, leaps and bounds better than previous iterations.
Tire changes have made a world of difference, bring lap times into closer to IRL.
Only feedback i'd give is that the brakes are too good. Like i'm struggling to even lock up a wheel, even when trying to.

Thanks again and donated.
Sachmo Jul 11, 2022 @ 2:59am
Incredible work Feralarri and team. Congrats on another fantastic mod. Supreme quality. Have donated. Hope you enjoy a well deserved rest. Could forgive you if you don't take on 2023... (but please do :-D ) thanks again, amazing.

Fantastic works guys, my favourite modders <3

For those that are interested, these are the sound settings I found were the best for me while I was testing 2022. Until we get access to the new sound files we are limited to our old sounds. I followed this tread on the S397 forums
https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/new-sound-engine-settings.71979/ I then played with the settings shown on screen. I actually turned off the HRTF and I use this for 5.1 or headphones https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sge58L3ci0imQiII5azDKzaepj4ml6u1/view?usp=sharing
craigbowie.cb Jul 10, 2022 @ 11:53pm
Gave this a whirl today... fantastic job guys, a real credit to the team.
Tested them at the Townsville track... cars do move around a tad, nothing bad. Watching the real racing there yesterday i think these are bang on! Times were around the same as the real life cars.
Mod looks and acts perfect! Huge thankyou and check the Paypal Account!
Looking forward to the Gen 3 models when released!:
Cheers
Craig

@Spoto99 Thanks for the feedback. Possibly they are a little less grip on a green track but on a rubbered up Bathurst I am still knocking out 2.04's. I have tried to have the cars doing as close to possible, real lap times
Spoto99 Jul 10, 2022 @ 11:13pm
The car is alot less grippy compared to last year model doing slower laps even on super softs
Coight Jul 10, 2022 @ 6:33pm
Thankyou. Some of my favourite cars in RF2
bastien.loit Jul 10, 2022 @ 9:39am
The mod is really enjoyable. Just the tyre sound is a little bit loud but its nothing compare to the pleasure that we have with the car. Thanks guys !!
