Thanks. I reinstalled both and at first the horn would not work by pressing the H key. Then it worked at whistle posts and eventually worked with the H key. Weird but good now.

Assuming you have the 645 sound mod , you may want to try unsubscribing and resubscribing to it.

No there are no engine sounds at all.

do the other sounds, like engine and bell work? if so then the game might just be failing to load the horn files

Put these on my wood routes for an authentic northern New England feel, They look really good. Just to let you know the horns do not work. Otherwise they are great addition.
