Molotovs do not explode, they spread fire. Its like pouring already lit gas onto things but instead of pouring it, you get to throw it at people. It probably explodes in game just to add some cool effects

The beverage liquid may contain alcohol in it. Once it breaks, the liquid is released and set on fire because of the rag (or in our case rope) that is on fire. Much like irl.

excuse me what is the science behind this? theres no explosive detonation, and once the bottle breaks it explodes, its not nitroglycerine inside the bottle its just the beverage liquid, so how does this explode, and cause fire?
