btw. you can hover (once) over the white square with the mouse, and its gone until next game start.
RNGeeves Apr 1, 2024 @ 1:43pm
i added another screenshot too, which shows the tooltip of the jade, its right after that one
RNGeeves Apr 1, 2024 @ 1:41pm
well the resource shows on map, but mine doesnt seem to do anything to it. here is a screenshot with my worker standing on the mine : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3209411540
Revan  [author] Apr 1, 2024 @ 12:38am
You're right. Jades imrpov should give 4 iron and 40 gold. I have to check at some point why it issnt shown i nthe enc, but the basic framework is working, right? So the mine is showing the jade imrorv available.
RNGeeves Mar 31, 2024 @ 2:39pm
unfortunately, it isnt, i checked before and just now, Jade is listed there, but there is no useful info on it. other resources have way more info, say the improvement you need and all that, but jade is like a stub wikipedia article, soo thats why i asked.. here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3208309973
Revan  [author] Mar 31, 2024 @ 1:50pm
Those info should all be written in the encyclopedia. ;)
RNGeeves Mar 31, 2024 @ 1:21pm
yes! my bad, i didnt realize earlier that you can get a spec in smelter later on.. so bronze is okay. idk about the jade though, is it mine/quarry for that?
Revan  [author] Mar 31, 2024 @ 11:29am
Uhm, afaik for luxuries you need a spec there? Sorry i dont know anymore.
RNGeeves Mar 31, 2024 @ 10:41am
one more thing, if i build a smelter on, lets say bronze, it wont give it as luxury? cant do a specialist for it either, but i guess thats by design? would a mine + specialist give it as luxury? for now, ive always used smelter cos it seems more reasonable early game at least
RNGeeves Mar 31, 2024 @ 10:37am
hello, i found out that jade might not be working properly, at least it doesnt suggest the proper improvement for it(im guessing it would be quarry?) and when i check quarry/mine while on it, it doesnt say anything about adding the luxury or any benefits its supposed to give. otherwise all the other resources ive come across (exotic furs, ivory, ebony, perfume, tea etc etc) seem to be working just fine for me. also, i use the modpack, not this single mod, idk if that affects anything.

Thnaks, this could help.

Report: The MOD still does not work, neither in existing saved games nor in newly started games.

One discovery that may be helpful for fixing it is that the Hemp and Vegetable MOD resources can function normally. Improving Farms on these resources can yield additional benefits as expected.

Hey.
I'm pushing an update now, guess i found the fix. I only looked through the files but didn't test, no time tbh, please report back, thanks again.
blankbar Mar 3, 2024 @ 10:17pm
Thank you for your prompt response, and once again, thank you for bringing various fun-filled MODs.
Revan  [author] Mar 3, 2024 @ 1:40pm
Thank you for the detailed explanation, understood the problem and going to have a look soon when i have some spare time.
Thanks again. Appreciate people giving feedback and posting when there's a problem.
Cheers.

Yes, the descriptions of errors in all four log files are exactly as stated above.

In the actual game situation, if MOD resources are included within the city's accessible range, the benefits provided by unimproved resources are still effective, and improvements can still be made. However, the additional benefits obtained through improvements are invalidated.

For example, in the illustration provided by this MOD, when silk is included within the city's accessible range, the 1 culture per turn gain under the "no improvement" status is effective. However, the additional 2 culture and +30 gold per turn that should be gained after improving the Camp are nullified.

Similarly, when exotic furs are included within the city's accessible range, it still provides 2 culture per turn under the "no improvement" status. However, even if the Camp is improved, the additional 2 culture and +40 gold per turn cannot be obtained.

Thats the only thing in the log? Thats no meaningful error, dont mind it. I wonder why theres nothing else.
I have to ask again. Builders cant improve them but you said when they move to developed impro. you dont get the proper yields. Hmm.
So, for instance, Silk not-improved doesnt give you 1 Culture, etc.

Thank you for your reply.

In the output.log file, the section describing the error is as follows:

------------------- Error ----------------------------
00:07 - [Infos] Extra field: Translation in Infos/text
------------------------------------------------------

Upon returning to the game and reducing the mods to only using "Resources+", the above text still appears at the beginning.

Hi, thanks for using my mods and reporting a problem. ;)
Can you do me a favour and post/upload the output.log from \Documents\My Games\OldWorld\Logs?
blankbar Mar 2, 2024 @ 12:00am
Hello, dear modder, sorry to bother , but some bugs after using the Resources+

The added resources cannot be properly improved, and when workers are moved to the plot, the developed improvements also fail to provide benefits correctly.

Once again, thank you for bringing vitality to the Old World community.

Nice mod
Revan  [author] Jul 2, 2022 @ 9:06pm
Thanks, is coming with a next update.

Two nitpicks: saffron has two f's, and it's "earthenware" not earthware.

Great mod though!
Revan  [author] Jun 27, 2022 @ 8:07pm
Bronze was one of the first new resource and i had the icon, Bronze was not in the game, so Bronze it was. ;)
buddynemo68 Jun 27, 2022 @ 8:04pm
Instead of mining Bronze shouldn't it be mining Copper and mining Tin? Then they get combined to become Bronze, which could be a separate technology the player has to learn, Alloys.
Revan  [author] May 20, 2022 @ 3:22am
No! You just need to start a new game for the mod to work! Ofc you can save your game!
lieutenant74 May 19, 2022 @ 10:13pm
not save game compatible? does it means i can't save my game?
