should be "ui/hit(kill)sound.wav"
it will play the vannila sounds unless you have a legacy addon that overrides that file path.

that's very strange, i use that addon a lot to test things and the damage numbers show up fine for me
are you seeing any serverside errors?

I don't know what the issue I'm having is, but this doesn't seem to trigger on bots from this addon:

It's just making a seemingly normal player.CreateNextBot so I can't gather what the conflict is.

@wget I think you thought I meant the mod doesnt work with critical hit mods at all which actually looking back at it I did say that without realizing so im gonna revise that and say what I meant was I wish this had the critical hit text with critical hit mods and this doesnt happen for me

you need to put it in the garrysmod/sound folder, if you name it something like example.ogg, then you can just enter example.ogg in Sound File field in the settings

I can't seem to get custom hitsounds to work, I copied the file path to an .ogg file like the original sounds then pasted said path, am I doing something wrong?

you just enter the name of any installed font
for sounds, you just enter the path to the sound file (put it in GarrysMod/garrysmod/sound)
