Cannot find any of the required electrical wires. There are 2 versions in the item spawner. These recipes require a silver version that doesn't appear to drop at all.

Hello, in a comment below you said the wall lamps will consume generator power at first but then you can put batteries in them so they work without a generator, how do we put the batteries in? i right click on them and i dont get and option to do it.

The lights worked the first time I placed it, but after saving and reloading It doesn't anymore, My generator works fine and the lamp was placed right next to it

I love the mod, btw. It's made my building so much better. Can we get some of the other light fixtures, like the lamp posts and the domed 'fancy lights' or w/e. They're like a sphere that's cut in half vertically and horizontally, so it's the 1/4 that's left.

The wall lamps will use generator power, but they can be converted once placed to use batteries as normal.

the major limiting factor for xp grind on the crafting skills is resources, and the resources for making the lamps is honestly shockingly limited. electric wire is worth ten times its weight in gold because you'll be running out before you've managed to grind much of any exp, given it only comes from major appliances.

@Jaxx - pshoooo, originally, I didn't want to make it so you could grind electrical using this mod, but considering DIYing a lamp would probably make you pretty good at electronics I'll probably add a couple of XP points for crafting when I next get around to updating this.

@Silvire it should work on any existing save as it doesn't change any existing assets or scripts, only the crafting recipes.
It should also be safely removed as the items you craft already exist in-game.

However, it might be worthwhile taking a backup of your save before installing just in case. Just make a .zip of your save.

I agree with Dragon Fruit, having the ability to craft flood lights would be really useful considering how hard it is to find and retrieve them!

@ManOfParody, they should light up without issue and come pre-installed with a battery.

Is it giving an error when trying to place, when turning it on/off?

Do these lights not light up when placed? Build one and attached it to the outside of a house, and it's not working.

@DingooS that would require either custom assets/textures (to give the wall lamp the light switch texture), or custom Lua scripting to allow for a light switch object that also emits light itself.

I could probably look into making something like this, but it'd probably be out of scope for this mod.

@CLOCK hmm, quick attempt on this didn't yield any errors for me.
Which lamps on disassembly do these errors occur? Specific ones, or all of them? (Table, Wall, Outside?)
Additionally, is this disassembly immediately after crafting, or after placing and picking back up?
Do you have any other mods installed that affect lights?

I've had people mention you can pick these items up, but I would rather avoid spending forever trying to find matching lamps.
