the repetitive music probably is because of the drunk seed that replaces every music with otherworldly ones

if you pause the time passing in journey mode, then change the difficulty with something like tedit-- the time will still be paused

so that's probably why the day/night cycle doesn't change

Then it's probably some sort of resource pack you have. Because I can't add custom music nor can I change the base one. At least not without an ungodly amount of music boxes.

Is they any way we can have it without the repeative music? its just the same through the entire map for me, but otherwize I enjoy it!

Not as far as i know, during playing in normal expert mode time doesnt seem to progress regardless of sleeping in a bed.
