What is the path to your game installation folder?

i have issue when running a game union fatal error show sup saying theres forbidden symbol: & and honestly i have no idea what it exactly means by that

One reinstall after weird memory violations later, i managed to get the game to a state where just using union, i get a standard 60 fps. But if i dare to use the dx11 render, i get the weird behaviour. Which sucks because that's alot of graphical mods and render tech right there.

No ideas then. Overall, this feature is supposed to work even without Union, it was developed in the first versions of SystemPack, version 1.8 of which is included in the default game content in Steam.

I do. though in testing i left them out on purpose. It does not make a difference sadly.

Yup. i can see it when booting up and in the menu.

Are you sure it's working? Can you see the Union version number in the main menu, bottom right corner?

Then i believe i am in the right place. I run a full AMD system and i can't get it to work. As soon as i press any keys, fps goes down to 20 and stays between 20-30. But if i wait 10 seconds, the fps will build up to to 180 which is the speed of my monitor. So the in-game limiter is still doing its thing. Even if it's the only mod i use.

Does this mod happen to fix the build in frame limiter when you press any keys? Or does this mod have no such function?

Just for people having the same issue with 4K: in the end, the problem was that I tried to run it in 4k, but via DLDSR (I have a 1440p monitor). Setting a custom 4k resolution in CRU works flawlessly even without Union or any other patches or mods (besides those in the main Steam installation, of course).

Works great with the LegacyAltRenderer set to DX7. Thanks a lot for the tip and Union itself. :)

For me, it works in 4K just fine. But you should try LegacyAltRenderer or GD3D11.

Hi. I am trying to run the game in 4K. The menu works fine but loading a game or starting a new game results in a grey screen. I can hear the game running, but I don't see anything. Alt-tabbing and going back into the game "fixes" it temporarily: until I go into the menu and back. Then it turns to grey again an sometimes crashes.

Any way to play in 4K using the original renderer?

Конечно, может. FPS лучше ограничивать, в любом случае:
system/SystemPack.ini - FPS_Limit=60

До этого играл на другом компе на Windows 11, проблем не было. Та же самая стимовская сборка с теми же модами. Но там фпс был 150-250. А на новом компе 700-1100. Может быть с этим связано.

Спасибо, попробую. На одном сайте еще прочитал, что может помочь мышка с dpi 12000, сегодня купил даже с 26000. Если не получится, придется на клавиатуре)

Попробуй мод GRawInput (mouse fix)

Заменил комп на более мощный, с Windows 10 pro. Скорость поворота мышью снизилась до нуля практически, а также скорость отдаления/приближения колесиком. Очень медленно. Сложно играть. Такой проблемы в классической версии игры без модов нет.
Как-то можно увеличить скорость поворота мышью каким-нибудь способом? Установлено только 2 мода. Этот и GD3D11/
Второй вопрос. А где луна ? На небе только звезды без луны.

I don't know, I never played it. My guess is that Ninja conflicts with your utilities or Union.

@D36 It seems like the game is working without Ninja and Community Patch, but I don't know, I didn't start to play at all. I just tried to start a new game without Texture pack by Artemiano, only Dx11 renderer, Union and some Union utilities to improve gameplay. So this means no Community patch for me :(? Is this CP really that needed?

@D36 Yes, it's ROG Ally. Ninja is making troubles. But before the installation of Playerkit, and Systempack was everything working, I had fully modded game with DX11 and all useful Union mods like advanced inventory etc... Ninja was working properly too. Only problem was blackscreen from Texture pack by Artemiano, but game was still running, I heard all sounds of running game, even when I openened inventory but with blackscreen. Then I have installed Playerkits, Systempack and 4 GB patch. This corrupted my game, so i uninstalled everything, Playerkit, Systempack, whole game, even whole Gothic folder in steamapps. Then I made fresh install of Gothic and now it's not working anymore, even after fresh new install. It's strange, because I completely uninstalled these Pkits, Spacks and everything, but problem still occurs even after fresh new install from Steam.

No need to ever install PlayerKit, SystemPack and 4 GB patch, they are all already included in the default Steam version content.
Is that ROG Ally? Could be related, maybe something platform-related.
I also see GD3D11 in your subscriptions - try to disable it. In fact, disable everything, try to run the game. If it works - enable your mods one by one, to see which one is failing.
