I believe some RF2 updates have broken the ai, as things use to work. If there is any aiw expert that wants to have a go at fixing it up for me, let me know as I don't have the time these days. I may see if I can find an aiw expert myself as well.

Hi Beautiful Creators, First of all. BRAVO !!. This Track is AMAZING. Thank you !! I wanted to let you know that on the StockCar Config (2 x Chicanes) It never starts the race. Stuck on Formation Lap. and the Timing sectors don't start making it unusable. I'm using a Rolling Start also on the 24Hr and StockCar Config the AI don't start the race either. Once the PC goes into Pitlane it disappears and the AI just Brake and sit at the BLUE commitment Line. Sometimes they eventually start rolling through after about 2 mins. Very weird

best choice if you don't want to pay for the official daytona,almost the same standard with that one😃👍

I have 3 traces and both says error 11 and it says:

" 227.62s FileLine.cpp 658: FileLine: Wrong number of arguments for "FWRange", expected 3, got 2" that's all I got right now

@Alejandro_rmb I don't really know what the problem would be that is caused by a video card brand change. Nothing I can really do to help on my end, unless others report a similar issue and can narrow down the cause.

Hello James, my game crash when im in the first corner of the fast chicane (lemans chicane), i'm using an amd gpu (rx6700xt) and before I was using a GTX 1650 and this wasn't happeping

Hi James...quick question for you. Looking to organise a stockcar / daytona race on simgrid but to use a mod i have to obtain the creators permission for it to be listed as a selectable track.

Would you be ok with that? Nothing is hosted there, it's just used as a indicator of what track drivers need to use, so they know what one and where to get it from. :)

Hey James, I notice that the AI like to go under the banking, on the flat many times, to overtake and stuff, idk if its suppose to do that or is something that you can fix or whatever, but i wanted to let you know.

Hello James, there is also a pitstop cancelling problem, which is due to nearby main path "cut corridor" overlapping with nearby pit lane entry path "cut corridor", by removing the overlapping part of cut corridor from main path (near pit entry section) will fix the issue. This issue is introduced since last year Q3 update when the new anti-cut system was implemented. (currently for player the only way to avoid pit cancelling is to drive closer to the pit wall before entering pit, as cut corridors are not overlapping near the wall.)

Its a strange issue as nothing like that was reported in the prerelease testing nor shortly after release last year. Either people just didn't run into it or something changed along the way that produced the problem. I'm going to try to get an quick fix in as soon as I can.

I think the issue with the AIW may be because it doesn't know the pitlane exit. Seems to me that if the AI need to put, they come in for repairs and then drive straight into the wall outside T1 instead of going thru the proper pitlane exit. Then they drive slowly around the outside of track until another AI hits them and the cycle repeats until all the AI retire lol

@Recon My guys was suppose to work on the aiw bugs, since well about all year but it just hasn't happened and I've had a really tough year myself. I'll try to look into it myself, RF2 has had a lot of issues with rolling starts when doing full formation lap for many years now, even when it works sometimes it just won't as well. If fast rolling doesn't work correctly then its probably something I can adjust to fix.

Has anyone brought up that rolling starts on the road course doesn't work? The green flag never triggers for the rolling start but standing start seems to work. I'll donate $50 if the rolling start gets fixed for the road course.

Near bottom of the first thread is a link to my setups. Use the Stockcar_2018 setups. They drive so much better with a good setup at Daytona.

Running 100% strength, 40% aggression, 5% limiter. And either Stockcar 2018 or Classic Stockcar. The Stockcar 2018X should be good also. They are the only 3 mods using the latest physics and tyres from what I know.

I have done a number of races against the AIW on the oval and they are good as they can get within the current code. They do drive side by side for quite a while. Just be patient, sit in the low line and wait for your chance to get to the outside. Then keep trying the outside. Be aware, the AI can hang you out to dry if your not careful. 60 laps is a good length. Most AI pit once and there a good separation later in the race. You just need to work with the AI to get to the front. Get the AIW to follow you! Yes, it can be done. Sometimes the just will not follow, but when you get them in line behind you, you can get up some good speed.

Thanks for all your hard work on this track. i did get the download and I did load it up on my server. The track isnt that bumpy since the repave. For me and my server i will not have this track up. But this is just me and my opinion, I'm sure that a lot of peeps like having the ripped out of your hands lol. extremely bumpy. Like I said thank you for all your hard work. I do have your Martinsville on my server and I love it.

@cyruscloud as for AI cars stopping, I bet it's related to fuel/tire wear. I've just run a race with them disabled, and AI was OK.

If RF2 did not finish: it´s probably a problem with Logitech Ghub. Deinstall it and use an older version (deactivate automatic update). There are some threads about this issue in the S397 forum

If anyone wants to see it as a day-night transition in 5 laps. I recorded a test race. Aside from the AI braking for no reason and diving in slow motion after a formation lap (you need to skip the formation lap to avoid this), the visuals are awesome. @gc24 I'm not sure what to tell you about long loading time. I know not everyone has the same system and hard drives but on my current system loading RF2 from a sata ssd I can load the track in 18 seconds, by comparison it takes 24 seconds to load Le Mans. Perhaps you have a slow HD or are limited on vram or memory in your system. Right now I haven't had anyone else mentioning slow loading.

To address some comments. I am reviewing the aiw along with my friend Mark who created the aiw for the road courses to see if I can help the pace car bugs and fix any other issues mentioned. Some I haven't experienced myself, like the ai stopping on track but I am looking into it

Pace car seems to stay out on the Oval also. And it still takes a long time to load even after the first load.

Daytona Oval is Narrow in real life and harder to run 3 wide than Talladega. First load will be slow due to shaders loading.

It takes forever to load. On the Oval, I can't see any room here to run 3 wide. The road course is fine.

Great quality, congratulations. Things to fix: rolling starts do not work (tried 24h layout), fast rolling start is ok. Check also waypoint 703, there is a wrong corridor

First of all: wow - amazing quality mod!
However I have some issues with AI racing.
I am using Endurance Pack vehicles, so LMP2 + DPi + GTE.
Firstly, there is issue with safety car on rolling start, where safety car returns to pit at the end of formation lap, but the game still says I should be following it and the race won't start. I don't know if this is track-related, or general rF2 bug, since I don't play it very often (until recently).
Second issue is that all AI cars went to pits after 1st lap, presumably to fuel up. But after another lap they all stopped around track (lack of fuel maybe?). It looked really strange to drive alongside all those parked cars on the track.
If those were fixed, I'd certainly recommend it for offline racing. For now, seems to be online-only.

This track is incredibly good. Best Daytona on RF2 by a mile. Great work, and thanks very much for your efforts.
