If it were up to me, the mall would have a lot of stores to enter, I planned to add about 4 more, but it exceeded the limit of items per map, unfortunately left for dead 2 is very limited, you can't make very large maps or with many items

@the NaMe I PickeD, I understand man, thanks for your constructive criticism, but unfortunately I couldn't add more items and more stores, as I was at my limit, I had to cut it in the final version, as the game didn't allow more than 4200 entities, so I had to cut a lot of things from the mall in the final version :(

So far I've played this map twice. My first play through I somehow ended up with slow zombies that you can kill without purely headshots and zero specials or tanks. I think this might be caused by having the Romero zombie mod installed when booting up l4d, but then removing it before starting the game. Anyways now for the map. It's very well designed as far as layout goes and very accurate to the film. My only complaints and it's BIG ONE...WHY ARE THERE VIRTUALLY ZERO RESOURCES INSIDE THE MALL?!?!?! It's a MALL. The entire point of the movie was the fantasy of consumerism. I think this map would be much improved by adding a an activation for the finale at the players will. Give the survivors a chance to explore the mall. Perhaps add some interactive features likes games or tvs. The mall should be LOADED with items. Why even defend the mall and lock the doors when there's no time in between to explore. The ending is very good, but I really wish it had more to do in the mall.

Fun but infuriating.I will not play this map from now on.

非常有趣但是也非常坐牢，地图部分材质丢失，提示也做的不到位，还特么无限尸潮多的离谱的那种
一二关解谜太简单了，就隔壁屋子里，还摆在明显的位置
三关油箱没有高亮
四关解谜也操蛋，开机关互动事件非常长，去penny store一楼，打穿电梯顶，一楼角落找梯子，放梯子，钻通风管，枪店，关一大堆的门（门是没有高亮提示的，一个入口三扇门都要关，关的还久醉了），去红色高亮地方清丧尸，再回高亮安全屋
五关很有趣，杀死入侵者，红色高亮就意味那里有入侵者（固定靶但打人很疼），然后下一楼找货车，货车里找油箱，回到楼顶的直升机结束坐牢

a very well made map, but I only played it once, and I won't play it with my friends next time, because m4 is too long and boring. why do you have to design so many doors to close? some things should be just right, not too complicated and repetitive,without this flaw, this map would be perfect

This map requires the cooperation of teammates, so please don't play solo. Love comes from China. LOL

Either way this map is fun in and out of the custom mutation, Though I mostly prefer it with the mutation. It's more lore accurate imo.

8/10 after playing it on expert realism its worth noting this a good mod but it does mess with a lot of your settings and the final is the hardest part due to human enemies mostly because human enemies are not really thing in general but its good

Finally after easy mode and 4 players we manage complete this map. Actually chapter 2 and 4 is the hard part. If only the close door time speed up it will be great.

this was actually really fun. the mall map was way to hard with 2 people though. tried like 6 times and then just gave up.

This map has zero bot friendliness but it's forgivable because the map offers a different and unique approach to L4D2's gameplay. Because of how bad the bots are in this map in Dead Mode, I ended up completing the entire campaign mostly solo (Advanced difficulty).

While the intention of this map was to play it on Dead Mode AND multiplayer, it's still doable completely solo without bots, though it's insanely difficult.

This is easily the most unique custom map I've ever played. Despite the frustrations of trying to play this with bots, completing it that way was extremely satisfying.

Overall, I'll give this a 9/10.

10/10 if you can somehow fix the absolute shitbag of head hitboxes Valve made in this game.

I played the map with out the (1978 George A. Romero ) mod it's more fun but map 2 was very hard with endless hordes

Love this mod. Best zombie movie too. Finally someone made it. Great job too by the way. I just have one issue, anyone else get a high pitch screech or something like that? Sounds garbled up. Kills the immersion and highly annoying. Any fix?

my only issue is that the zombies can punch you through the doors during the mall lock up section, which is infuriating

Endless hordes of slow but deadly zombies, in normal mode you take 3 hits and you're on the ground.... Not playable with bots. Despite this it is very addictive ... A great campaign

The Map was made to play with GAR DEAD MODE, with the intention of looking like the original 1978 Dawn of the Dead movie, as I left in the description, my intention here is to get closer to the movie, nothing more than that, so if you leave few hordes, with slow zombies It wouldn't be funny because it would be easy.

Cool map but meh kinda boring with all the walking around and stuff and too many zombies with no breaks in between and yeah

This map is good if play with friends because i with my brother on normal mode need to play like 3 hours just barely reach chapter 4 which AI can say quite useless. Furthermore this map can say is a simulator on how to escape from zombie area which give me a life experience. Very unique map Good job.

The map is another style of gameplay i really like it. Is also challenging even I play normal mode. The chapter 4 is hard to finish with 2player cuz bot are just standing and die. Encourage 3 to 4 player to play. Overall good job.

@dotdotdot it's not missing, but if your graphics settings were at the very least and could give an error due to a valve bug in that sky, I left the correction in GAR dead mode (follow-up mod), or if you're going to play without the mod, look for some skybox fix mod.

As a fan of the 'of the Dead' series. great job and a great campaign - perfect homage to Romero's work!

The slow zombies were more menacing than the usual rushing hordes and once you were outnumbered, usually game over!

Not a fan of the horde event sound - seemed to be the same sound bite constantly, this became annoying very quickly!

But really enjoyed this - great work :)

Fantastic campaign. As a big fan of the original dawn of the dead, the greatest zombie movie of all time, IMHO, I really enjoyed it. It definitely has the feel of the movie down, and its easy to see that a lot of love and attention to detail went into making it. The campaign has a very good flow to it, with several stand out moments and unique events, I'll say no more about them as I don't want to spoil anything.
Playing with the Romero mod, as intended, is the way to go for the full experience.
The Bots also seemed better at head shots since I last used the mod too, which helped a lot as we played it with only two of us.
A big thank you to the Author for creating this amazing experience.
