The mapping for diagonal attacks might be less than ideal for controllers, but it should work fine

you can for some reason type greusome words

the extra word effects are cool! some suggestions for those:
-GANLON and APICOT: temporarily reduces damage taken
-LANSAT: Increases the next attacks damage, But only once
-LIECHI and PETAYA: temporarily increases damage dealt
-SALAC: increases movement speed temporarily
-STARF: randomly chooses one of the effects above
may be unessecary but could be a cool reference to some of the other berry effects

Ah, yes. there are a few words with special effects, most of which related to healing (try SITRUS or REST)

As for diagonal strongs... I am not entirely sure how to further adress this issue.
I attempted to give a grace period to diagonal moves so you can "slide" into them slightly (for example, DownStrong allows you to input Down-Diagonal strongs for ~2 extra frames) because of how near-impossible it is to input a C-Stick diagonal input on frame one.
Cannot promise much changes in the near future because I sort of have my hands full at the moment, but I do plan to revisit this character at some point and iron out those kinds of details.

So I noticed that when you spell out HONK, it makes a special honk noise (only once per match from what I've seen). Are there any other special words that have little easter eggs like that?

really cool mod! unfortunately diagonal strongs are impossible on controller when using the C-stick. this is a problem for not only gamecube controller users, but also pro controller users

Unown's counter *really* needs a nerf, specifically it needs a knockback cap because countering strong attacks can just *vaporize* opponents

i feel like there should be a secret mechanic that makes it so you instantly die if you spell out a slur

as someone whos always really liked unown the pokemon, this has made my MONTH. seriously not only did you make unown cool, its incredibly unique and interesting! eat your heart out kazuya

By the way, the "instruction book" is broken

Spelling longer words gives you a passive buff to damage, knockback, weight and speed. Plus, "!" becomes an attack. the longer the word, the better it becomes!
Not too sure how much reversible moves there should be... F felt mandatory because it has a projectile. And C and D are somewhat meant to be opposites to each other at the moment? Ill see what I can do.

I must congratulate you sir and or ma'am. This is quite possibly the only real way to have octo-directional inputs and not have it feel clunky and strange (Although I do wish there was a way to reverse the direction of D and C).

N does feel a little too strong, the increased power in addition to the angel it sends at leads to ridiculously early kills, often have I dash attacked at fifty to be N's and sent directly into the blast-zone. Still love the character, but either reduce the power of N, or change it's angle.

Diagonal inputs are finnicky to get on a controller... especially the strongs. I might need to refine that.
You can check out the current word list in the Discussions page. Yes, sadly, some words are missing, but there is a certain problem of scale that makes it hard to include every single possible word inside this mod...
And yes, I can look into preventing stalling, although I'll have to wait for more feedback on the subject of Unown's balance.

Hey,Big fan of the character, quick problem,could you perhaps make him lighter,or have him nerfed so that he wouldnt be able to stal for time making words? Most of my friends are upset at me playing it as since he has great damage potential and rather strong defence. Would it be able to have a way for it to lose letters as every few hits?

What a special character with unique moves to make it fun!

G flips gravity but has no hitbox. You can hold it for as long as you like, but be careful not to "fall" into the top blast zone!
as for N, right now it is a counter that doubles damage/knockback received. As with the rest of the moveset, I expect some numbers to be tweaked, so if it feels too strong it can be lowered a bit (x1.5?)

make it so that if you spell ligma you lose a stock

this is probably the most fun character ive played in awhile, and also maybe my new main, the only possible balancing gripe i have is that the N feels a bit too strong, but other than that, theyre an amazing, fun, well balanced character, and i hope that you keep up the great work, and have a good day :)
