If you look closely at the stations (in-game) you will see that they are warped and stretched to give them a "storybook" flavor. The lines are not only curved but purposely not-square.

Sydney Trains have an actual station, not in use as far as i know, that is sort of similar to this. It's near to Central Station. This might work well for anyone doing a Sydney map.
