Well spawn area can be screw by the game resolution but basically yes you right.

Also yeah forgot about wall , but for "external" solid block , i rarely put a wall above it but lava.

@Dr_Shadox Player placed walls block off enemy spawns. So unless ꀊꏀꃓꐃꄜꎟꊸ built his farm by hand and forgot to include these, then lava will do the trick. Remember this as any master mob farm builder knows it.

However to answer your question @ꀊꏀꃓꐃꄜꎟꊸ, it is more then likely what Dr_Shadox said. There is a 150 NPC limit. Using battle potions will increase this to 200. Note that your ~28 town NPC's also contribute to this number. I would suggest blocking off local spawns with lava or walls. Note everything outside of 1920x1080 screen multiplied by 4.2 will despawn automatically.

Well it's maybe because the max spawn limit is reached so full of anthlion.

If the limit is reached but not only by antlion , it mean 1thing :
Mobs are able to spawn and "afk" outside the farm (pretty sure is top left and top right , outside player screen ofc).

Try put a lava layer above the farm , and hold it with bubble block (solid block isnt ok because they are themselv a valid spawnpoint , unlike bubble block)

I didnt try the map but i've kinda mastered mob farm and spawn mechanic so i'm sure at 99% that the problem.

this will make quite the nice little farm. I'll be honest I really enjoy learning how to make farms like these. This one will be especially useful. not only for the money and the free sand/glass but also for the fact that the typical ocean grinder takes more finesse to set up now.

I noticed how antlions stop spawning after a few minutes, is there a fix to it?

@кусок ежа You can buy torches from merchant for super cheap. The rest of the candelabra recipe can be made from pure sand. Selling raw bottles will grant 4 Copper however.

and even if you can't craft stained glass and candelabras, you can still craft bottles and get a bit of profit
