For those using Linux with Proton compatibility: steam folder is at ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/

Hi @zaeandolph, sadly this types of mods are not officially supported and thus need some manual steps. Anyway, if you need help feel free to open a discussion :)

Must uninstall. Requires manual installation. Nothing against you, just can't find the files that are to be placed in the default files place.

@mintruck, you need to delete the Texture and Mesh folder inside \Scrap Mechanic\Cache and NOT the ones inside \Scrap Mechanic\Data.

dont seem to be working. idk, i downloaded it, activated it before starting a new world, and the connections look the same. an y help would be great :)

If your custom Textures or Meshes (3D-models) aren't working correctly, go to
`...\steamapps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Cache\Textures`
and
`\steamapps\common\Scrap Mechanic\Cache\Mesh`
and delete specific files or all of them. If you delete all files from these folders, it could be that the game takes a bit longer to load, but it should work again.

Nvm, found it. It's in a folder literally called "Cache"

@ko How do you delete the cache, or is it just as simple as deleting the original file?

nvm, someone let me know that deleting the right textures in my cache fixes it.

any idea if this will be fixed for newest version? or any idea of whats causing it to not work? Default connection points make building small things difficult >.<

Hey, I don't know if this is possible, but can you make it so the input connections are slightly offset in one direction(eg. up) and the input in the opposite(eg. down)? This would make it much easier to see the difference in, for example, a logic gate chain.

@cyp4ik don't worry this mod will not conflict with Fant mod, at least with current version of it, tell us if you notice something

search for "blender2ogre" it's an addon for blender which lets you manage these type of files (ogre it's the game engine which scrap mechanic is made of)
