I don't think it would work, because instead of editing the base spider file, I made a duplicate and edited that.

Would this mod work with spider changing mods like the zoidberg mod that is circulating around? Cause i want a henchman Zoidberg. without having to deal with followers.

No. When it dies, it dies like anything else you conjure - in other words, it doesn't leave a corpse.
