1. I have been thinking about the translation and I don't think that "Vorsilbe" fits well. I searched for a long time to find the best way to translate "prefix" into German and came to the conclusion that the tooltip should be called "Titelbezeichnung entfernen" (remove title name) or "Titelbezeichnung ausblenden" (hide title name).
2. I still don't understand GitHub and don't know exactly how to translate files and what all to translate. Could you possibly send me a list with all the sentences I should translate? That would help me immensely.
I have another mod for which people have been asking for German translation just recently.
Though there's a lot more text there. It's all in these files [github.com], if you're still interested.
I am not very familiar with GitHub.
You could say:
"Vorsilbe entfernen" (remove prefix).
"Vorsilbe hinzufügen" (add prefix).
Or:
"Vorsilbe vom Titel entfernen" (remove prefix from title).
"Vorsilbe zum Titel hinzufügen" (add prefix to title)
Instead of "Vorsilbe" you could also use "Präfix", but this is rarely said.
You're welcome :)
"Remove tier prefix from Title"
"Restore tier prefix to Title"
You can just post a comment here with these lines translated into German and I'll add your translation to the mod files myself.
Alternatively, if you're familiar with GitHub and would like to do it yourself, you can submit a pull request to add a German localization file here [github.com], using files for other languages as an example.
Either way, danke for offering a German translation.
In the meantime you might want to ask this question in one of the modding channels of the CK3 Discord server [discord.gg] - some of the modders there might know the answer already.
So overall I don't think it's currently worth it to implement within scope of this mod, sorry. Maybe later as a separate mod/submod with its own compatibility caveats.
Or alternatively, maybe Paradox will add/fix the dynamic article modification in a future patch (I'll submit this feature to a modding features wishlist), in which case I'll be happy to go back and implement this feature in this very mod.
My initial optimism was based on a misleading line in modding documentation, which suggested that there is a dedicated script call allowing to set title article during the game. Unfortunately, the docs are wrong and this call does something else entirely, and also Paradox should update their docs.
this would also allow us to FINALLY become "Boss of the Naboo," which i cant believe isn't possible in the base game.
One thought: is there a way to also toggle "of / of the" before our domain? For example, in the base game some nations are listed this way (Emperor of the Roman Empire, Khan of the Mogyer Confederation) without "the" being part of the domain title.
Doing that would be the cherry on top, otherwise this is still phenomenal. Thanks again!
So, if you load this mod after Res Publica, it all should mostly work, except that "Make Primary" will be available for republic holders, even though according to Res Publica it shouldn't be.
I'll see if I can change something, so that this doesn't happen and, if possible, so that load order between Res Publica and this mod becomes unimportant.
by the way i have 1 question. regarding mods like those mods changing maps do they need to have specific load order to be use with other mod? example like oriental and indochina. i know you can only use 1 but do they need to be on top of everything?
random coa compatibility
your mod
this overwrite the title manager
One way would be to unsub from all 3, launch the game, quit, resub to all 3 and launch the game again.
Make sure you've downloaded the latest update for each of them.
What's the load order you are currently using and are there any other mods?
The mod will not make any changes by default or for titles you don't want to change.
