This mod has only pictures (i.e., dds files); zoom controls are in \def\map_data.sii

yes, I noticed. Promods must have changed something. This mod works with SCS, and it used to work with SCS+Canada .
I'm still deciding whether or not to 'fix' it and how.

to work with promods Canada 1.2.3,
A) delete "/def/map_data.sii" file from promods-ats-def-v123.scs. (Collateral effects unknown)
B) enable this mod above Canada mod in Mod Manager

personally, I love MHAPRO, which stays within SCS' boundaries; €5 per game version. I don't think it has a road to Lake Tahoe, though. It's just a fabulous map.

This mod is only background; for roads you'll need a map mod. That said, I don't know whether or not a road exists,
