Is it possible to detect walls and automatically adjust the camera's left and right angles?
If not, at least make sure the camera isn't distracted by NPC or players.
This is because whenever an NPC passes behind me, the camera instantly zooms in to the closest distance.
By the way, when the crosshair is pointed at glass or wire mesh, it doesn't focus on the object behind it, but only on the object itself. Is there a way to change this?

Yes it does, altho aim zoom doesn't work with ARC9, it stops modifying FOV if it detects thirdperson mode for some reason

Pushed an update fixing this issue. If you get it randomly, check thirdperson settings, maybe you've set up freelook bind to an undesired key which you accidentally press sometimes, which causes this error. Error will be gone, but an unwanted bind is also bad, so be advised. Thanks for the report!

It doesn't happen randomly, it happens once +thirdperson_etp_free command is being used, new freelook feature. It's strange... why does it fail...

It happens once when I use a TFA Base weapon. I think it just has something to do with how the weapon has some camera effects or something that causes the error.

@SCHENKER Just checked Enhanced Camera 2 both code and in-game. Code checks LocalPlayer():ShouldDrawLocalPlayer() so it acts correctly, and checked in-game, everything works, there is no viewmodel or body shown while in thirdperson mode. In your case probably something different is conflicting.

You could also try to search an old version of Action Extension. It lets you jump dive like in max payne, old version keeps you laying down on the ground just like MGSV dive, altho prone wasnt implemented, but it is closest thing that comes to my mind. And I actually don't know if you'll be able to find that old prone version...

I will check if addon is working or not today, if it's not, I will upload a fix. Regarding support for enhanced camera 2, I will not fix compatibility. Ask EC2 developer to disable his code if GM:ShouldDrawLocalPlayer returns true. EC2 is being actively maintained, file an issue on EC2 github.

БEБI@ you will have to deal with coding, the addon right now doesn't support forcing players to use thirdperson mode. Feel free to download the addon and modify it to always pass thirdperson enabled bool checks.

@robloxiansonicfan Disabling camera collision would allow players to look trough walls and into the map which looks awful. But if it is a really desired feature, I could do it. Reply if it is.

an FOV slider would work, but its more like changing the position of the camera when aiming. To like make it seem closer or something similar. It might break some camera movement in some way but it would definitely add to them immersion.

@Navvara70CASE.GIFT Not without code involved. If you want to just enable it for someone on the server just once, you could just force change his third person enabled client console variable to true. If you want ALL players to force into thirdperson, just override all the checks for thirdperson_etp to true.

@REKTMASTER17 What you mean changing angle of the view? Initially when I was developing the original prototype, I especially made FOV not changeable so all the guns aiming zoom could be applied to the camera. When John Mason was refactoring my code and adding all the convars, he made FOV configurable which overrides original CalcView FOV. I could reconfigure it to use FOV multiplier instead of a constant FOV value which will keep FOV changing abilities and allow FOV customisation of some sort

Very neat mod, the third person actually works and you can see the model unlike other mods. One major suggestion is that whenever the character aims, there should be a setting updating the angle of the camera, This could easily make this the best mod for thirdperson on gmod, unless this is aleady a feature then I dont know how make it work.
