Forgive mi ignorance, but I seem to get this mod to work. I followed the instructions to do it manually but still no good, any help?

I dont know why, but today when i began to play i couldnt neither rotate camera neither the buidlings, i unsubscribe to many mods, i verify the options check that the rotate camera was checked, it was, but it still continue to only zoom the camera, what is happening?

nottud, gamex.con is now supported so you can put your stuff there. No manual installation necessary any more :-)

I have a slight issue... I'm a total noob and the mouse wheel just changes the zoom of the camera for me, how do I fix this?

This is pretty simple to do yourself without a mod... In fact the necessary file to change already has the setting, it's just commented out.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Mythology\startup\gamex.con

Around line 539 you'll see:

//map ("mousez", "building", "uiWheelRotatePlacedUnit")

Just remove the // and save the file. When placing usints, use the mouse wheel to rotate.

NOTE: I do not know if this will work in multiplayer since I don't ever play multipayer but it did work on a random map.

My concern is I have had to do the same thing for another mod. If I overwrite the other mods "user.con" file with this one I cant use that one anymore (WASD to move camera Mod).

Hey you might like to add: map ("shift-mousez", "unbuild", "uiWheelRotatePlacedUnit")

This lets you rotate buildings when timeshifting them as Kronos. Note that that line is bound to Shift + MouseWheel.

For those complaining about not being able to find user.con, thats because the file isn't created by default. You have to create it, which can be done simply create a new text file and rename it to user.con

Make sure you can see and edit file extensions when you do this - If you can't see .txt after making a text file then you can't edit file extensions. Head to Google to find out how to change it - Its just a setting tickbox that you have to change in Windows so shouldn't be an issue.

For those complaining its not working - Make sure the mods downloaded first! For some reason Steam + AoM:EE's mod manager had issues downloading the mod for me. While Steam would report the mod downloaded, it wasn't actually in the mod folder. Try restarting Steam, and restarting the game's launcher.

The latter should be done a couple of times as every time the launcher starts up it checks the mods you're subscribed to, downloading or removing all mods that are/aren't on disk according to what you subscribed to.

Going from the Steam library root, the mod folder is located at: steamapps\common\Age of Mythology\mods

Just downloaded this, doesnt work with the manager but worked with manual, and its sooo epic im ocd when it comes to building bases and even tho its a little thing just feels right to have. Thanks dude!

Certain buildings when you place them don't build in the direction you place it in.
