Report a translation problem
Hope it just needs a rebake or something simple.
The only thing I can think of as a possible cause was the small update to the game that released yesterday.
Can't load in builds with this block on em as it just won't load in at all.
Working for ages but just suddenly stopped working for some reason.
Deleted it from documents several times & installed it again via in game. But no go.
they can pass though frenly ships but annialte enemy ships but make this late game
I will push back on the planar shield comparison for one main reason: The planar is RNG dependent (for shells), whereas the dome shield is 100% consistent, assuming no bugs. With a planar shield, at the end of the day it's chance, even though the % in the UI is fairly accurate. The dome shield does not have a chance.
We've also talked about letting high AP shells through, but steam character limit so I can't elaborate :(
I appreciate the feedback though! If you can think of any possible solutions, please let me know.
The fact that it blocks -ALL- damage until the laser energy is depleted - in my opinion - makes this just too OP, especially considering that vanilla shields only block up 40% of incoming projectiles and, I seem to recall, up to 30% of laser damage even when said shields are set to level 10 or maximum power draw.
Sure, this system is not truly invulnerable as it will stop working once the laser energy is depleted. But, in the meanwhile, it effectively acts as a short term God Mode. I could accept this blocking more than vanilla as it runs off a laser system. But 100% blockage is too much.
If I run into this problem in the future, I'll try and catch any errors and show them to you.
I'm having an issue where editing the advanced shield will only pull up blank windows, and despite being able to charge the shield via laser systems, it still doesn't work at all. I'm curious if anyone else is having a similar issue?
