A suggestion, you could make it compatible with Islands Adventure’s Chimenea and Obsidian fire pit?, since these dont have the burning timer

@Viktor Willow has a talent called "Burn duration" and it reads: "Objects burn down faster, and creatures burn for longer." But I dont have the exact numbers. Might be in the code somewhere. I just noticed trees definitely burn down sooner than the timer indicates but obviously only if lit by Willow (also her fires no longer spread)

@lvboogart: Most mobs do have a constant burning timer and if not then fetching their burning timer would in many cases lead to a crash due to their coding. Also since they don't turn into ashes once burned down, I didn't see much need for introducing a timer for them.
About Willow: I didn't play DST for a longer time so can you give me some info about her timers? Do the new timers depend on her skilltree?

Possible to add timers for burning mobs as well? I would very much appreciate that!

Timers seem to be inaccurate for Willow since her update. Would be nice to have this patched! Been using this mod for years

@EldMaster: I can try to implement it but I can already tell that it will be inaccurate since there is no way to tell how long it will keep burning unless you are the one who throws the torch because unlike the lantern, fire pit, or even the dwarf star it has no indicators about its fuel value. Also its durability goes out even faster during rain (or slower if the server is lagging) which I have to include, making the timer even more inaccurate.

Hi! Can you please update this mod for a new torch skilltree of Willson? With the new ability to throw the torch on the ground, I can't see when it goes out =(

The last crash I fixed was with the Waxwell rework which caused the game to crash if the mod tried to fetch the Magician's Chest's burning timer.
The crash happened either because of that, or because of some issues Klei had with mods, or by burning a modded item, or from a much older version of this mod, or anything else I did not list here.

Any Errors or Warnings caused by the Burning Timer mod should be marked with the numerical sequence '2525856394' which is the ID of this mod.

nothing happened, it didnt crash my game, i loaded in and noticed that it wasnt on then went back to mods and it says "crashed! disabled" (idk how to find the logs i looked at the client log and couldnt find anything about this mod on there so idk)

can you do burning timer on mobs?

there's a glitch where on firepits and maybe campfires (i cant remember) it doesnt move, only says the time taht it was when it was updated.

@Peanut Brain: Yes, the tree stump still pretends to be a tree and the mod is unable to distinguish between a tree and a stump since both share the same prefab, so it assumes that the stump will burn as long as a regular tree does while in reality it only burns for 10 seconds.

Hello, tree stump burning timer is longer than it actually is.
Is it because the timer still follow the un-chopped tree itself?
