Does this let move naturally placed wormholes? I typically have terrible wormhole luck in my worlds and would be satisfied with just moving those around.

@krzarb Ah ok I see, probably because the other server is not active when not used. This mod sends the corresponding signals to other server to let them know that a new sinkhole has been added, and this does not work.
I guess I would need to add a workaround for that, when I find some time I will look into it, thanks for letting me know!

So I've done some further testing and the mod Don't Starve Alone does indeed break the function of the sinkholes and stairs in this mod, which is perhaps to be expected.

Can I ask, how do the sinkholes and stairs work? I've tried crafting and placing a sinkhole and then going down into the caves and crafting and placing a set of stairs, but they don't connect at all and are not usable. I am using the don't starve alone mod, so perhaps that is causing some jankiness...

And for some reason, stairs and holes only start working normally through the console command spawn, but when I create them myself, the connection doesn't work.
I also noticed a strange moment.
I found a staircase that existed for the game, but it wasn't present as a structure and it was impossible to interact with it.
It was drawn for a moment and disappeared when I clicked "Place" in the creation menu.

I had a case where the mod did not connect the ladder to the hole on the surface, which scared me and I thought that I could not return to the surface. And then I just spawned the ladder through the console and returned to the surface.

Hello. I don't know how to describe my problem with this mod)
When I made a hole on the surface and a ladder in the dungeon, everything was fine, they recognized each other and connected.
But I decided to make it so that there were no original holes and ladders and there were only those that I created.
And then the weird stuff started.
The first thing that happened was that the holes and ladders didn't connect normally.
The second thing is that when a hole is created, it leads to a dungeon portal or a ladder when created in a dungeon, it doesn't detect a hole on the surface normally.
And by the way, the renaming function also stopped working, it only works in the settings where you can specify how to name or number them.

I can't make a sinkhole for some reason. My configurable settings say that everybody could make it with presdator but when I go in game with the required amount of ingredients using the presdator it just says "Another survivor knows how to make this".

So uh, anyone else getting a few crashes?

just wanted to say i love the mod, no issues especially since i tend to have a minimum of 20 mods on my games lol. had to update and look for replacement mods for awesome old one's.... just installed this looking for an updated wormhole icons and stumbled apon this, i do have both the icon client sided one and this one installed, but the icons work fine without needing the other one enabled, wasn't sure how to properly config both to work right since if both were enabled the icon wouldn't work some times. but just turned the other one off since i tested this one with default settings except allowing more to be placed.
anyways, thanks for making this mod, thanks for keeping it updated and such, there is some awesome mods out there but some haven't been updated, i'm usually iffy with these specific mods due to anything messing with wormholes or the caves for me it's usually a high chance of crashing but it hasn't yet lol. thanks again.

@Deimos I won't change it, if yoou want to change it yourself just change the recipe in this mod to what you would like to have :)
@Killkopas Not quite sure why this is happening for you, it should be automatically enabled and be working correctly, at least its the case for me. If you haven't got it working, post a lin kof a site such as pastebin with the server log attached in the bug reports discussion, then I can see your config and try to replicate it :)

The mod works while using it separately, but it stops working (stops marking the wormholes on maps) when I activate your Build Wormholes and Sinkholes mod. Any help would be much appreciated, cus Im starting to go insane with changing the settings and failling to find whats the problem :(.

can you change the recipe to an orange gem, it makes more sense imo

@kikmjji I know it's late, but if you still have this problem, provide the crashlog to the bug reports section and I will see if I can help you, I haven't had any problems with crashing at the moment.

when i try to make a world with this mod my game crashes befor even entering the world

It could also be a fast workaround - as the sinkholes / stairs are not compatible with the "Don't Starve Alone" mod.

@ave You have a point here, I was also thinking of that.
I think I will add a config where you can either place wormholes, tentacle holes or nothing in the caves, this should give everyone the possibility to do what they want :)

Can you allow wormholes in caves, but configurable?
It's vanilla nature can be subjective

I have to build another Prestihatitator in caves to unlock the stairs. If sinkholes and stairs can unlock together would be nice.

@powerspeed12 You can only make the stairs in the caves.
This is to keep it as vanilla as possible :)

You can find the wormholes and sinkholes in the structures tab, if you can't find them there, try searching for them in the field by entering wormhole or sinkhole.
Let me know if it doesn't work!

I subscribed to this mod and I don't have a wormhole or sinkhole in the crafting menu
What did I do wrong?
I turned on the free crafting of everything to check, but still didn't find it.

Awesome mod! I've been using it for quite some time but was away from DST. Love the updates - being able to use your other mod to name the wormholes.

@れPURE い.億KiotheCloud四 Check that you have the config option "Enable/Disable Wormhole Icons" set to "Don't show Icons". Otherwise the mod "Wormholes and Sinkholes Icons For Server" will automatically be disabled as those configs are incompatible.
In the next update I will change it such that if this mod is enabled it will overwrite the config of Wormhole Crafter.

hmm for some reason It wont let me rename any of the sinkholes or wormholes the mod is working cause I can craft the wormholes I hold Ctrl,shift even both to see if the "rename wormhole" appears but it doesnt my character just jumps in I tried it with "Wormholes and Sinkholes Icons For Server" off and on but it wont let me rename them.

There was Wormhole Marks mod installed as well, I deleted it and now it works in caves too.

it was logical and easy, but the conflict with the Wormhole Marks was a black mirror.
(although I also removed "Lazy Lazy Deserter", just in case)

@Dmitry @Breath I just tested it again and it works correctly for me, you need to provide me with a crash log so that I can help you. I will need the server log to be able to help you, please post it in the bug reports discussion.
It may also be a mod incompability, so test it out with only this mod active in a new world and see if it crashes.

Can you please make them working in caves? Now it crashes the server, but we really would like to use them in caves.

when used in a cave, it says that the connection to the server was lost :(

@tbz You need to own the skins of the wormholes, I just add the possibility to use those when building them. If you don't have them, you can weave them in the belongings of your curio cabinet

@FreyaMaluk That's strange... Have you already build some wormholes so that you could be over the limit that was set in the config options? Perhaps try to set the amount of wormholes to infinite. Try also entering c_freecrafting() in the console and see if you can then find it in the crafting tab either in structures or by searching.
If this is still not working, try quickly in a new world with only this mod if it works for, if yes then it's probably a mod incompability.

@Monti ello again. it's not showing there for me... tried multiple times and doesn't appear under structures by being close to the corresponding crafting station... it's simply not there

@FreyaMaluk If you enabled the mod, you can find the wormhole under the structures tab. You will need to be near the chosen crafting station to build it the first time. If you didn't change the configuration options, you will need to be near the Alchemy Engine :)

@Monti Where can I find the wormhole recipe in the crafting tab? I can't find them anywhere
I can see the mod as subscribed but I cannot find where to craft it. I checked all the tabs and searched but couldn't find it

One really good crafting recipe would be something more like it requiring a shadow manipulator, then 3 purple gems, 10 monster meat (Monster meat could also depend on distance) and bones/hound teeth.

@govnah julez \m/ If you already have too many wormholes, you can't build new ones. You can increase the amount of buildable wormholes in the settings. If this is not the problem, check if Recipe Restrictions is set to at least Admins if you are an admin, otherwise Everybody. Let me know if that helps.
