standard Astra's automatic AOE of neon tears is both overpowered and honestly really annoying to look at. I kind of just wish it was gone.
Tainted Astra is just like... way way way too OP.

This wouldn't happen to be a reference to something, would it?
-possible solutions (assuming the item is useless besides the random teleport):
-making the item unusable
-making the item teleport you to the same spot you were standing in but having a much
longer animation during which you're fully vulnerable at all times
-not playing the bad pill soundeffect when using the item as it implies there's also a good
outcome possible
-overall a fun character that might not need the first improvement as it did seem more balanced than the non tainted version, still something to consider
-solution ideas:
- make the active item just a tad faster and a tad more consistent at not landing on enemies
- make all enemies just a tad slower before the first shot is fired
- if possible? make the attack recharge after entering an unexplored room
-the active item the character starts with has a nice theme that correlates to the original astra, however it is still not clear to me if the item has no use except teleporting you randomly, and is hard to figure out
-The ring is much larger, but slows enemies much less and doesn't deflect bullets, the
knockback on enemies is also nerfed, but the ring does consistent very low AOE damage
(maybe a fixed 0.5 damage per second), after being fully charged (which takes much longer
now) the ring calls down a light pillar, like the holy light tear effect (which does maybe two
times Astra's damage)
-I like the idea of the character nonetheless, but would still like to see some nerfs if possible
Tainted Astra:
-The low mobility, low hp high damage build on a character that also charges for a long time between shots makes certain rooms (especially small rooms with fast enemies) very hard to avoid damage in if your attack is still charging from the previous room (it would also be nice to see a bar indicating when the attack can be fired again)
A few notes:
Bug:
-if taking a devil deal as Astra while charged the charge bar just stays
Astra:
-Especially in the Repentance Angel deal meta the character seems too strong (massive slowdown, reflection of bullets, high knockback of enemies, very strong teleportation utility)
-possible ideas for nerfs:
-Astra attracts bullets when using the ring and doesn't deflect them (as indicated by the small
floor ripples around the character when using the slowdown ring, but they're slowed akin to
enemies, maybe also an increase in ring size if that's too much of a struggle)
-Astra starts with a very small ring but can increase its size through range or tear size or shot
speed increases (ring does more damage as a compromise? even at greater range)
